Re: Modding a PSP 1000?

I love my PSP (well PSPs ha). Following the RG Burnout feature in thought I'd dig out Legends and Dominator which I used to love on the PSP. I was taken aback at how blocky they were. I was quite shocked. Think I've been on the Switch and Vita too much and have been spoiled. Also tried Vice City but...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Yeah the Switch is turning into a great retro machine. Let the reissues and remakes keep coming! It's obviously been said a million times but the ability to play a game on the big screen and then transfer to handheld is majestic. It's particularly handy if you have young kids and need to be mobile. ...

Toss up between Mario Kart Super Circuit and Total Soccer.

Good to see Bueno lasted - one post, in and out haha.

Re: Mega Drive Mini

Needs a couple of sports games. This was the downfall of the SNES Mini for me personally - a lack of multiplayer sports. I'm guessing that's something to do with EA keeping their games locked up? Saying that, i'm sure it'll be hackable within hours of it being released. Shame it doesn't come with th...

Re: Modding a PSP 1000?

To save all that hassle, Ridge Racer 1& 2 on the PSP are very good.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 193

Ha, the irony of reminiscing about a game forum on which we all used to reminisce about the past. Retro isn't what it used to be lol. I did use Retro Cafe for a bit, but found it a bit childish tbh.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 193

To be honest it surprises me how little activity there is on here for the Magazine. Although it does seem to have really slowed in the last 6 months or so. Yeah, it's not like it used to be. Often I notice I'll be the only user online! Sad really. Maybe all the big topics of retro conversation have...

Re: Modding a PSP 1000?

I stole this post from a psp and Vita group I'm in on Facebook, just saw it - Order a duopro adapter while you are there then you can use a 128gb sdcard in it..ignore the most recent cfw tutorials and look for one on installing 6.60 pro-c rev 3 cfw It's better than the later 6.61 cfw Then you can in...

Re: Modding a PSP 1000?

And no, I think these days it's a case of downloading some files. No magic memory cards or pandora batteries like the fun old days.

YouTube Tech James - he'll have up to date psp mods.

A modded Psp is a thing of beauty.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 192

I hate the subscriber cover. They've been terrible for months and months now. They look a complete afterthought like yeah just throw any old crap on there.

I'd rather have the paid cover.

Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread

I didn't give it a chance cos it cost a fortune and the memory card was a small fortune. And for me personally the library isn't all that great - certainly not as good as the PSP. I'm not into RPGs and JRPGs which it seems it's strength lay. Still, I now have two hacked Vita's with all sorts of Vita...

Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread

Got another Vita - this time the slim. Can't believe how light it is compared to the original.

And I got it free from a friend who hasn't used it in years. Looking forward to modding it.
