Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 192

I hate the subscriber cover. They've been terrible for months and months now. They look a complete afterthought like yeah just throw any old crap on there.

I'd rather have the paid cover.

Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread

I didn't give it a chance cos it cost a fortune and the memory card was a small fortune. And for me personally the library isn't all that great - certainly not as good as the PSP. I'm not into RPGs and JRPGs which it seems it's strength lay. Still, I now have two hacked Vita's with all sorts of Vita...

Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread

Got another Vita - this time the slim. Can't believe how light it is compared to the original.

And I got it free from a friend who hasn't used it in years. Looking forward to modding it.

Very bland and boring subscriber cover AGAIN. Sadly, not much in this issue for me so most probably take me all month to get through it.
I've never liked the subscriber covers. I wish i could get the normal one - always more going on, which I like.

Ah well. I mean, i'll still read it :D

Re: PlayStation 3 - Retro or not?

The way I'm wired, I could live to 100 years old & still not consider anything post Megadrive/SNES era "retro" I'm permanently stuck thinking 8-bit is the recent past, 16-bit is the present, everything after is just for the kids & I'm still waiting for the Stone Roses' 2nd album. Same here. The PS1...

Re: Top 10 PS2 games - vote now!

Struggled with this, even though at the time i loved my PS2. Googling PS2 games it seems i bailed on the system early - probably a combination of age (i.e. boozing) and also I moved onto the Gamecube and stopped buying PS2 games. Anyway, from what i can remember: 1. GTA Vice City 2. Medal of Honour ...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 190

Poor front cover. Even worse than the SNK subscriber one!

Content looks good.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

By the time Nintendo get round to releasing the SNES back catalogue it'll be time for a Switch upgrade. Never mind N64 and GC!

Turning into a half decent premier league title race. Have Spurs blown their chance though?

I'd like to see a piece on the Eidos Commandos series, if ever possible.

Re: How Far Behind in the Magazine Issues Are You?

I'm usually 2 or 3 issues behind, although i try and flip through a new issue. Sometimes i'll read the new issue but still have 2 or 3 i haven't read. Just on the Speccy - it was insanely popular in the UK in the 80s, and RG is a UK magazine, ergo it features a lot! I certainly don't think it's over...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I got The Bunker on sale (I think a fiver) which i really enjoyed. Finished it over a couple of nights - if you enjoy a certain type of 80s British horror/post Apocalypse then you might like it. Legendary Eleven - not a bad footy game. By no means perfect, but was worth a fiver on sale. Fast RMX - t...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Another shout here for Resident Evil Revelations 2 (have not played the first). I think it's really good. Ploughed through the first half in the summer and enjoyed it. Currently going through the second half now. A bit stuck on a boss but hopefully will get past and persevere. I didn't think the fir...
