Re: What did you buy at the carboot today ??

PIck up Da Blob, Sega Superstars Tennis and Sonic Unleashed on the Wii for £2.00 each and an unopened box of 3.5" discs for 50p But to be honest the retro stuff round by me has kinda dried up and what there is now is being sold by people who have done their homework and charge reasonable prices, dom...

Re: Fuel Panic Buying!

One thing you do not tell people is to NOT panic buy - because they do exactly the opposite. Same as if you tell them there is 2 inches of snow on the way and there might be some disruption. Just watch the bread and milk fly off the shelves. They might as well say you have 3 minutes before the bombs...

Re: Charity Shops

This is what upsets me a lot as a games fan and collector of retro. Everyone is now an expert (or at least pretends to be) and the old eBay argument is wheeled out most of the time. Some of the ludicrous examples in this thread and proof positive of that I'll happily play a good price for something ...

Re: Games that you used to love but no longer interest you.

Loved Jet Set Radio & Castlevania SOTN at the time but would never return to them now. I played Jet Set Radio the other day and although it made me feel incredibly old, what with all the hip hop music and young people behaving badly - but I still thought it was good fun For me it's Championship/Foo...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Stourbridge has a few charity shops but one of them was charging £10 for ps1 games so they tend not to be much good around there. Halesowen was a goldmine at one point - been a while since I was there but there was a tat shop set up in the old Multivision Video shop which had loads of retro in many...

Re: The NFL 'craze' of the mid 80s to early 90s

I think its a great matchup. Granted the Giants were 9-7 but theyre currently on a hot streak, seen too often in past seasons a team starts off 6-0 and then cools down the stretch when its the most important games. The Giants rushing attack is improving but they were ranked 31st all year, i'm amaze...

Re: The NFL 'craze' of the mid 80s to early 90s

Being a 49ers fan was absolutely gutted crawling into bed close to 4am this morning. Agree with your post psj about Alex Smith - seemed as if everything he did right last week he did wrong this week, but then again I am sure a lot of that is down to fairly conservative play calling. However I can't ...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Tis true of my local one - they are now down to half a rack of PS2 and one shelf of XBOX

They had a shedload of PS1 stuff before the sales, so my guess is they have dumped them

Re: Worst Wrestling game ever released?

@ retrobear im guessing the only reason you played wwf attitude/warzone over mayhem is because it was a wrestling game with the wwf license all over it. Attitude and Warzone are by no means perfect and I agree with your original comments about needing to know too many button combinations. However t...

Re: Worst Wrestling game ever released?

@ the retro bear i do not know what anybody else on here thinks. but i have to 100% disagree with wcw mayhem being anywhere near a crap game. i allways thort it was a great game especially for the time. it was the best wrestling game at the time on the ps1. it was better than attitude and warzone f...
