The new Sim City

Anyone heard of this new "Origin" thing? I got an email to say that if I downloaded it, I'd get a free copy of Sim City 2000. Being one of my favourite games ever, I quickly registered and "purchased" it to download the software at home. A couple of weeks later, I finally get round to it, and prompt...

Re: The Hot Chilli Thread

No, the Ghost Chilli is the Bhut Jolokia Chilli. I had them a few years ago. They were beaten by the Bedfordshire Super Naga, which are now thrashed by this baby. Chilli heat is measured in Scovilles. Basically, it's the ratio of Water to Chilli required to completely dissipate the heat. So, for exa...

The Hot Chilli Thread

Look what Tesco have in: https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q50/537/7b5dbc.jpg Weighing in at over 2 million Scovilles, they are seriously awesome. Just had one on a cheese and ham sandwich. Like the Bedfordshire Super Naga, the heat creeps up on you, you think it's not so bad, but then, just...

Re: have you ever bought a game without knowing

Only got two examples of this... 1) Bought NFL Quarterback Club '98 for the Nintendo 64. In the box was NFL Quarterback Club '99. And it was a GREAT game. I only chose the '98 version over the '99 version because it was a couple of quid cheaper. 2) Got one of those "Join AOL" discs free with a PC Ma...

Re: "Our Robocop Remake"

Finally watched this through and amazed you've had no replies. It's bloody hilarious, my favourite bits were the board room scene (Kinney's Death), the dancing interpretation of Murphy's brutal shooting (That was a thing of beauty) and ED-209's family flashback. Although yes, the multiple rapist-sho...

Re: Best Type-In Progs by Machine

Now then, my first computer was the beloved TI/99-4A, and I have been actually typing in listings and saving them as ready-to-run files for the Classic99 emulator. http://www.fishsta.co.uk/ti994agames.html The thing is, most games that I owned were BASIC games, I only had a few Cartridge games. In f...

38 90's Gaming adverts

This is why I love Izismile. A sudden burst of gaming nostalgia.

Love it.

Re: Every had a nice surprise when buying something?

1) I bought NFL Quarterback Club for the N64, when I got home, I found the wrong cartridge in there. I'm sure, though I may be wrong, I bought NFL QB Club 98, but inside was NFL QB Club 99. It turned out to be one of the best American Football games I've ever played. 2) I used to get PC Magazines re...

Re: From the forum issue 120 Favourite fighting game

This is actually such a hard HARD HARD choice. IK+ is still playable today, Tekken 1-3 were a lot of fun, Way of the Exploding Fist on the Spectrum was incredible, the Mortal Kombat games probably consumed more of my time than any other, and the Dead or Alive games blew me away with their physics an...
