Home-made skittles vodka is rather nice.....all you have to do is let the skittles ferment in some vodka for a few days. I usually seperate the colours out and make different flavours, but you can bung them all in the one bottle. The only disgusting part is filtering all the hydrogenated gunk out wi...

I think we might be giving the manager too much credit for pricing decisions here. I suspect they're dictated from head office. A little late to justify all this, but yes, most prices are dictated from Head Office. And I'll admit, our manager has sometimes did stupid prices for things....like one t...

A few of my friends (age range 20 - 27) are actually quite in to some retro games. On the flip side, my parents can't understand my obsession, me coming home with bags of tapes and cartridges and things. Which is surprising, considering they used to own a CPC and a Megadrive amongst other things.

Re: Yule Tide Headache

I agree that its all wrong but thats the nature of supply and demand - if people were not prepared to pay then retailers would have to drop prices.
Who do you work for then??
I work for Gamestation. Most other stores have similar prices also.

Does everyone just wait till Nov/Dec time and start buying presents ? I totally agree, a lot of people do. Then again, regarding warranty (you can't buy extended warranties where I work), it would make sense to buy it a little later, in case anything should go wrong. I also agree how crazy it is th...

Yule Tide Headache

Really, I never knew it was possible to have such a huge headache without bursting. I'm talking primarily about the UK Wii shortage, and the subsequent thoughts of disgust I have developed from retailers cashing in big style as a result of said shortage. I've watched the prices in my work steadily r...

The newest machine I own is a slimline PS2, but to be honest I haven't really gotten around to gaming much on it. Add to this the fact that I'm a huge 8-bit fan, broke student (poor me, boo hoo, etc) and work in Gamestation, where retro games cost me pennies (literally), retro makes a lot of sense p...

I think we should have a colouring-in competition :D Failing this.....a front cover featuring a naked Alex Kidd (with mistletoe?) would be nice.
