Re: What are you currently playing?

Spelunky 2 seems a heck of a lot more difficult, but all the new stuff really works well. I don’t like the new art style at all, though

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Very annoyed that it’s Switch exclusive here but Japan gets a PS4 version  Either way I’ll be picking it up, the move to 3D models looks pretty well done imo

Re: M2 announce Aleste Collection

Ah that’s a bit of a shame if it’s a mini, but then I’m used to holding stuff up to my face to get a decent look. Have to do the same thing every time I use my 3DS

M2 announce Aleste Collection

So M2 had a livestream today, and the big announcement was an Aleste collection, coming December :D

There’s also a crazy LE release that has a white Game Gear with the games loaded onto it!

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Gotten as far as I can in Ginga Force , Easy and Normal completed. Hard mode is too much for me, though I think I will try and clear it at some point. I really recommend this game if you want a good shmup with a fair bit of content, right now it’s only Japan PSN but it’s fully localised in English w...

Ginga Force (PS4), still an amazing shmup, still hecking grindy. Really happy to see this come over from the 360, hopeful that Eschatos by the same guys will come across too

SoR4 Axel felt shockingly bad to play compared to pretty much everyone else for me, happy to see they also seem to agree!

Re: Super Mario 35th Anniversary

Only Super Mario Galaxy appeals, honestly. I personally feel - important as it is - Mario 64 hasn’t aged particularly well

Re: What are you currently playing?

Christ on a bike, the Castlevania games really are tough huh? I thought I’d be somewhat OK having played the two Bloodstained games, but these are really giving me a hard time

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I would rather they focus on QoL rather than improved specs, like a markedly improved battery life alone would honestly be enough for me

Circling back and trying to finish off Atelier Ryza before the sequel hits. For how many of those games Gust churns out, the quality always seems so good

Steins Gate continues to really be a fun read for me, I should have gone in blind and not watched the show beforehand but oh well

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Superhero telly has really hit a high point lately imo, The Boys, Umbrella Academy and Doom Patrol all seem to be doing well. I’ve definitely been enjoying the first two of those three, haven’t been able to see Doom Patrol

Re: The XBOX ONE / PS4 discussion thread

So that Genshin Impact game seems like it might be a good option if you’re done with Breath of the Wild ? It looks pretty gorgeous, the character switching seems fun and it overall just seems like a pleasant time ...It’s also gacha, so you need to grind or pay for a chance at getting characters and ...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

For Miku there’s the option to have the PS4 button prompts, smart move as those are ingrained in a lot of fans’ muscle memory now

Re: The XBOX ONE / PS4 discussion thread

No Makoto, huh? Feels like a strange decision to me but I’m happy to see Dan in there. Don’t they mention a ‘new mechanic’ is going to be introduced too?
