Re: Nintendo 64, impressions from retro gamers
Probably my all-time favourite console. With games like Mario 64, Banjo1+2, Conker, goldeneye, perfect dark, pilotwings, Oot, Majora, Jet Force Gemini, Paper Mario, Star Fox...what's not to like :) No other console, released before or after the N64, has had as many games that I hold in such high reg...

Re: Is being a retro only gamer wrong?
The greatest gaming experiences I've had has been mostly "newer" games. System Shock 2, Mario 64, Ocarina of Time/Wind Waker, Arx Fatalis, Deus Ex, Gothic 2, Panzer Dragon Saga, Final Fantasy VII. Don't get me wrong, I do love the games I grew up with, but if they were released today, I most likely ...

Re: Is being a retro only gamer wrong?
Why do people talk about old games having "soul" and new games not having it? Seriously, it baffles me. They made games back in the 80's to make money, just like they do today. Most were crap, but some were good. Just like today. The only reason the games back then feel special to me today is becaus...

Re: Retro Game Collections
I still have my Sega Ages collection for the Saturn, and all the games in the collection are truly great...all three, that is
But it's still the first capcom-collection that gets the most playtime.

I'm unsure as to how they will play on the iphone, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until the first reviews are out.

Re: Shadow Complex
I actually turned that off by accident very early in the game so played through most without it. Only found out near the end because I had absolutely no idea where to go to get back to Claire, was messing around in the map screen and found that turning it on gives you a nicely detailed route to all...

Re: Which was your time?
I have been playing games since the first game&watch was released, but no machine, before or after, gave me as many fond gaming-memories as the N64 did. Mario 64, Zelda Oot/majora's mask, pilot wings, goldeneye, perfect dark, starfox 64, banjo & kazooie/tooie...no other machine has ever had so many ...

WAY too much regurgitation, but I find it in general to be quite funny.

Re: Retro Gamers... A Dying Breed?
For me, gaming is a solitary hobby, something I do to relax and get away from everyday annoyances. Both my jobs are socially very demanding, so the mere thought of coming home and for instance sitting down with a game like WoW is a complete turn-off. I did play Counter-Strike for a while, but decide...

Re: Best version of Slap Fight
I have only played the arcade and the c64-versions, so I won't vote unless I sit down and try the other versions first...which this poll actually might inspire me to do

Ah, that's right...I had completely forgotten about the 2002-release of beach head. Is it any good?
And yeah, beach head was bloody brilliant...at least for it's time:)
Hmm, perhaps its time to give it another spin...

Re: 360 really is rubbish.
The 360 is a piece of crap, but it has the best games, so I'm still not ready to give up on it.
