ZX Spectrum - for the bedroom coder/hacker

I bought a bit lot of old stuff on eBay recently and inside one nondescript shoebox was a bunch of papers and some taped specie games. On closer inspection it looks like a guy had an interest in hacking/pirating games. Mainly Lerm software and manuals but it’s such a nice collection of historical do...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I finally took the plunge and bought a consolized Neo Geo MVS. Its great! Wasn't the cheapest, but I'll save a bundle when compared to AES carts. I love the fact that the MVS carts are so huge. Currently ploughing through Puzzle Bobble and shouting at the telly when I get unfairly beaten in the las...

Re: Wanted: Neo Geo MVS games

i'm in the same boat - so not looking to off load - looking to load up. would be interested to know what people are recommending beside the obvious metal slug and fighty games. have had a look back at the NG RG issues which are helpful. I'm putting NG Turf Masters, Metal Slug 2 and X and Art of Figh...

Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll

I'm also in the no camp. I bought the Vega and its been a huge disappointment. The quality of the built in games are poor and the inclusion of so many adventure games when you don't have a useable keyboard function is just stupid. I like the idea of a portable Vega very much as a concept, but I can ...

Sega Game Gears For Sale

I've got 2 which have been recapped that I'm not using and would like to go to good homes. Both have booming sound and good screen with full contrast. If anyone is interested I can get some footage up on youtube which might be the best way for you to see them working. Both have battery covers, nice ...

I've been having a look through old threads and I have to say that this is the best one I've come across. I'd like to think he had a rubber key spectrum. Who knows, he may still have one!

it was either Bruce Lee or Son of Blagger on C64, but as both games just restarted I'm not sure that I can truly say I ever finished them.

Sega Nomad & 150+ games

Am looking for some suggestions about where might be the best place to try to sell my sega nomad and MD collection. I am looking for options other than ebay. Also, I have a copy of Beggar Prince that I'd likely sell separately. Same question. Reasons for selling? The usual - not being used, gatherin...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 115 - Feedback Thread

love the article on 70s computers. must admit though, I hate the cover. never got sim city so likely that's a reason - but its just a bit of a mess. way off the usual RG standard.
