Re: Are you a good or poor gamer (new or old generation?)
Whether you play games at the hardest difficulty level or not, or three lives, it boils down to game design and how it has changed over the years, to suite the modern day gamer and the time spent on playing one particular genre?

Re: Good time to sell collections?
It would be interesting to know the price of the same game in different countries, some might be rare or cheaper in this country compared to others.
U.S, Japanese, PAL, and so on?

Re: Are you a good or poor gamer (new or old generation?)
I agree time and patience is a key factor in playing games, either playing or defeating a set routine including boss fights.
Games and set routines have changed over the years, is it to suit the gamer or the developer?
Or is it just aging gamers? set in there ways?

What sticks in your mind over the years.
Is it the ZX81's, Atari's, Commodore's, Spectrums, the sega's or nintendo's, the list seems endless, depending on the years you were introduced into gaming heaven.. It all boils down to a time when gaming seemed an important part of you gaming life. To be honest my gaming madness started with the ZX...

Re: Are you a good or poor gamer (new or old generation?)
IT boils down to having the time and patience of playing games, also the income. When I first bought a game, no online updates, even though the game was broken, I continued playing the game. Online gameplay seems a bit one sided, as hardcore gamers CLAIM the multiplayer as team gameplay for themselv...

Are you a good or poor gamer (new or old generation?)
I enjoy playing video games, but I am not the best of gamer's. would you in the past of paid for a cassette or cartridge for it to be a impossible gaming experience? (£40-£60) Not everyone is a gaming god, especially on line. When the servers closes, does it matter if you are bad or good at a game?

Re: SIMPLE GAMES
I remember when games were games, hope you understand? Without the need for a feature film story, you played a game because of the game and its challenges, not because of it's cinematics. Imagine if the ZX81 had more story than game, including the ZX Spectrum. Or if you put 10 or 20 pence into an ar...

To me retro never ends,
It's what you make of it,
Arguing about, what's right and the wrong, when retro began and stopped is a personal point of view.

SIMPLE GAMES
Do you miss the arcade style games of a quick blast, or the long winded story telling of todays gaming experience.
I miss the arcade side, as all that mattered was not completing a game but learning the pattern of a game including a best score.
I feel today certain individuals forget this.

Re: Where does "Retro" end?
Retro is what ever you want it to be, from what ever generation effects you personally. Arguing about it doesn't bring the gaming community together, everybody has their own version of retro gaming. From the Arcades to the ZX81, ZX SPECTRUM'S, C64, and the rest, right up to the PS4's & Xbox's. Its a...

Re: PLAY Expo Manchester, EventCity, 10/11 October '15
Fully enjoyed the weekend, even my better half who's not into gaming. She liked the variety of vendor's, not all retro related, I know, before you all say, newbie, she has been to every retro event I have, and that's before the Play Expo's. Don't forget Play Expo, has grown and so has the variety of...

Re: saturn "wobbly" picture help!
Hope this helps,
Display as I think the Saturn is set to 240p and if not set correctly can cause problems.
Or could be as simple as a grounding issue, a loose screw or connection, near the CD drive?
Depending what model it is.
