Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

I watched the Critical Drinker's thoughts on the new He-Man. I don't watch this guy's videos usually, so I don't know what he's like in general, but the new show just sounds like a load of woke bollox.

Re: The Star Wars thread

Not a major SW nerd though I have watched the originals many times. Force Awakens was good - thought it was "meh" at the cinema, but I enjoyed it a lot more on second viewing at home. Rogue One was fantastic - easily the best of the new films. The rest of the Disney trilogy was naff imo. A few good ...

Re: Pal collection tracking

I'm surprised that RC went offline without even a heads-up. I'm guessing 1 or 2 key players were managing it and they either got fed up with the site/gaming or something serious happened IRL.

Re: The New gen thread PS5/XBOXsX (feat PONG)

Argos don't care. They get the same money in the till whether it's a legit buyer or a scalper. I get that (and expect it - same as Sony not caring as long as they shift consoles to retailers). But I would have thought they'd be a little miffed and willing to do something since their checkout got sy...

Re: The New gen thread PS5/XBOXsX (feat PONG)

Crazy how PS5's are STILL too much hassle to track down. Saw a news article a few days ago about a hacker group that somehow accessed an Argos listing and the checkout before the PS5s were even available to buy. Some of them ordered multiples and drove around loads of branches collecting orders (the...

Re: Streets of Rage 4 officially announced!!!

Played as Roo last night. Shame that they just used the SoR3 sprite but they at least added the combo-ability of SoR4 characters and this kangaroo is bloody insane with what you can do. Juggling groups of enemies with the spinning kick special racks up 100+ combos without even trying. When I started...

Re: Streets of Rage 4 officially announced!!!

^^^ I don't understand the Switch delay. Originally a technical issue was the "reason" but the latest news yesterday claims that the DLC is still stuck in the approval stage for the eshop and outside of Dotemu's control.

Re: Streets of Rage 4 officially announced!!!

Made it to stage 17-18 yesterday so...progress! And who knew that Max would be good at combos and juggling? I've put together a combo that takes off at least 1/3 or more of a bosses HP and it's ridiculous. Sliding Attack > charged heavy > Thunder Charge > Star Move > another Thunder Charge > basic h...

Re: Intellivision Amico

We thought that when Sony did it, then MS did it. It's possible, but not with a budget product at a premium price like this. It would need to have shedloads of money thrown (and lost) at it to build a userbase first, then hold it. Very true, but I think the amount of money in the industry today mak...

Re: Intellivision Amico

I'm not sure that this needs any in-depth analysis...you can just tell straight away that it will not be a success. It will slip out quietly and quickly be forgotten. Nobody will be able to break the Nintendo/Playstation/Xbox/PC stranglehold on the gaming market going forwards. The era of new platfo...

Last thing I recall of The Master was him doing some sort of countdown at the end of each of his posts...does anybody remember what actually happened when it hit 0?!?

Re: Streets of Rage 4 officially announced!!!

Can't seem to get any further than clearing stage 15 on the random survival. End up hitting a brick wall by that point! Last night, I made it that far and had about TEN karate blokes all spawned in at the same time...there was no chance. Also can't stand that stadium/fighting ring area with the pit,...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

PS2 version of Gun, would've rather it was the 360 to replace the PC copy but at 80p its not too bad and theres always other days to find it. That was a fun game for the time. Not sure how well it has held up today as I haven't played it since release, but I remember doing enough to unlock the armo...

Honestly, as much as people (rightly) love this mag, the publisher doesn't deserve the money and business based on this (and the numerous other recent threads).

I'd have buggered off a long time ago!

Re: CRT 14" TV recommendations. Prices rising!

I have a 28" Trinitron and its a monster to move. The depth of the tube/casing is ridiculous. It'll have to go in the near future but you can bet it will be pick up only for whoever buys it!
