Re: Photo's of your retro collection.

Stopped doing the collecting thing and have sold off loads since the last bunch of photos I added to the thread. BUT...here is my UK Yakuza collection. This is easily one of my favourite series' of all-time so I made a point of buying the steelbook versions of 4 and the two Kiwamis. Only one I don't...

Interest Check: Sega Saturn console

Thought I'd throw this out there before I ebayed it. I have a boxed, PAL Saturn console with all leads and multiple controllers that I'm probably looking to move on. I haven't priced it up or anything yet; just thought I'd see if anybody on here was interested first.

Cheers :)

Re: What are you currently playing?

I've got Kiwami 2 on the way for my birthday in a few weeks, time to get sucked in all over again. I think we must be twins! I had a bunch of Amazon giftcards for my birthday a few days ago so ordered the steelbook edition of Kiwami 2. It was the last one I needed. I've been playing the series sinc...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I said I'd take a hiatus from playing Yakuza games after burning out on 5 but I guess I lied to myself because I've started Yakuza 0 and am absolutely hooked all over again! Love the arcade games, the new "friend" system, collecting the telephone cards of the girls and the updates to the battle syst...

Re: Retrogaming Spotlight: Missile Command

Yeah, the VCS/2600 port is brilliant. It's the only game I play on one of those handheld retro Atari things that I have. Really does have that "one more go" factor going for it and the sound effects are fantastic.

Re: Favorite GBA game

Cart I've probably played the most is Need for Speed underground although there probably is some better racing games out there and possibly even in my collection as it seems half of them got stuck in the loft. Keep meaning tolook for more but even the bad games are getting pricey around here and la...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48103025831_d990d18aea_k.jpg Yakuza 5 for the PS4 arrived today. So that's the weekend and most of next month taken care of. Also getting Judgment next week to replay so that'll be two Yakuzas to 100% this Summer. I've managed both before, so unless I've lost all...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Finally unwrapped my copy of Crash Bandicoot N Sane trilogy. Gritted my teeth and managed to 100% the original which I didn't ever manage in the PS1 days. It's far tougher than I remember, mostly because of the difficulty in placing your jumps on any level where Crash is moving forwards. That and th...

Re: Streets of Rage 2

Was playing the 3DS port again the other day. I've been playing this game since the Mega Drive original and only just realised that you can pick up grenades and throw them! I always ran the hell away so never tried before LOL Max is awesome but over the years, Blaze has become my go-to. I love her H...

Re: Favorite GBA game

Double Dragon Advance. Absolutely masterful update of the coin-op version, better than every single home port of the three 'proper' games, and one of the best belt-scrollers ever. Always wanted to play that but whenever I was on the lookout for a copy, there were more fakes than legit carts, the la...

Re: Favorite GBA game

Be cheap-ish on Ebay wouldn't it? Last I checked, most GBA games don't go for much on there. GBA games can be expensive actually. They long ago became the targets of collectors and crazy Nintendo diehards. The DS and 3DS are next up and are already climbing in price for some games. Boxed/Complete Z...

Re: Streets of Rage 2

One of the greats. The last version I bought was the 3D version on the 3DS which is amazing. Admittedly, I haven't played "pure" Streets of Rage II for ages now. I tend to just play the momentous SoR Remake on PC with a Xbox 360 pad. All three games mixed together with remixed music and the ability ...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Urban Reign a Namco 3D scrolling fighter in the same vein as Spikeout. Been after this game for absolutely ages only to be disappointed. It is a weird game. I went in thinking that it would be a scrolling fighter but it really isn't. You need to master the counters and dodges otherwise you quickly ...

Re: Hardships of modern gaming and Dead Or Alive 5

Glad to hear it. Yeah, I totally forgot that Ultimate upgrades itself to Last Round. I don't think it adds any new content to your game, just allows for compatibility between older/newer versions. As for the DLC, you have to pay for all of the costumes but the Compatibility Catalogues are necessary ...

Re: Hardships of modern gaming and Dead Or Alive 5

This COULD be an issue with this specific game and Team Ninja/Tecmo because the Dead or Alive 5 series and its DLC has always been a mess. It looks like it is trying to ask you to download stuff to help the game be compatible with the Last Round follow-up, possibly because the different revisions ar...
