Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 136
I wasn't looking forward to this issue - I can't stand Elite (or Frontier) - but I really enjoyed this one, the Puzzle Bobble Family Tree is very useful, was great to see space being given to the Master System, Amiga 1200 and Mad Planets, the making of Rana Rama and not too many tangentially-related...

Re: From the forum issue 137 - Favourite Playstation game
Honestly the game I play the most is...Kula World, but I think my favorite would probably be Silent Hill or Spyro - diversity is the spice of something alright.

Re: Your favourite Boss to fight
the Green Hill Zone boss - it's deviously simple
In fact I'd like to recommend all the Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 (16-bit) bosses with the possible exception of the Labyrinth Zone from Sonic 1, and the Metal Sonic race from Sonic CD.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 135
I love Pokemon (sorry everyone) so was pleased with the issue (except a few names being mispelt *I am nerd!*) and thought the covers were a great idea, but can I just (and I know I've just come back on the forum) address the box-outs and how numerous and tenuous they're getting? The Duck Hunt featur...

Re: Gaming's Greatest Icons
(according to Steven Kent's excellent The Ultimate History Of Videogames ) i think the full title should be The Ultimate History of Atari and Nintendo Videogames in America . I don't feel that you need to be an art form to have 'icons', I hate do the 'oooh i have a dictionary definition' thing but ...

Re: Issue 102 Feedback Thread
A late feedback but it's pretty uninteresting so I doubt it matters too much ;) 102 was fine. I don't really know a lot about the X-Wing games, I've never played 'em and was ignorant of pretty much everything about them so that was nice, always nice to learn something new. Two big titles for the Mak...

Re: New SEGA VINTAGE COLLECTIONS on XBLA
It's a Monster World Collection, it even stays on the title menu, not a Wonder Boy Collection, hence the three Monster World games and no Wonder Boy or the two III games which are Wonder Boy games rather than Monster World games, yeah it's still a tad stingy but if they're planning on releasing them...

Re: Official Feedback Issue 99
] I would hazard a guess that you are/were a speccy man???! Alas I'm a bit too young to have been an anything man in the mid-80's, I sadly wasn't born until 1986 but I've and an insatiable interest in retro gaming and the 20th Century in general and in my years since I must say yes I've found the S...

Re: Feeding your habit as a youngster
My mum and nan both worked in this place called Saint's when the Mega Drive was IT for me, Saints was one of them shops that sells nothing you want but everything you need - you know the kind, there's always one at the seaside, they sell cheap toys, strange oranments and china dolls - anyway they us...

Re: Name your favourite Disney Video Game.
Castle of Illusion I replayed it recently for some writing i was doing and damn it's good, every level is different from the next and the one before, each with something unique and something well designed - - though I hate the third boss, hate him, little green bugger that he is (obviously this is t...

Re: Official Feedback Issue 100 + Issue 1
What a wonderful issue. See it was my (unspoken) opinion that issue 100 should have articles or article subjects that befit it's importance - articles on historically significant games/people/consoles, articles on huge moments in gaming or huge games, interviews with major names in the industry - an...

Re: Hot Topic - Best GTA Game
Meh, it seems the further the series went the more time it took to glorify one of the worst cultures in the world - Gangsta culture!
Thus I like the funnier 1 & 2, and London, cos i live here

Re: Official Feedback Issue 99
Hmm...I dunno about '99, some of it was really good - the 3D Monster Maze article was, quite frankly, brilliant (and well done for making it a cover feature! *hugs you all*), it's always good to see Golden Axe make an appearance and Minority Report and the Unconverted are always worth the price of a...

Re: From the Forum issue 99
Meh yeah sorry this is a bit naff. The Spectrum had the better versions of Monty Mole and Dizzy, the Commodore had the better vesions of Barbarian and the 'Games series, Commodore has Turrican and Giana Sisters, Spectrum has Wally Week and the Skool' games - these things nearly always average out in...
