Re: Games you love from genres you hate

I don't like FPS but I love Tomb Raiders and House of the Dead.
I don't really like Sim/Time management games but I loved Theme Park.

Re: Greatest BBC Micro games

My only experience with the Beeb was a supermarket simulator at college. The other times were at computer fairs and watching the computer programmes on BBC2 and so have had no real knowledge of playing any games on the machine.

Re: Early Mario or Early Sonic

Difficult as I love them both, but I think I would have to go with Mario as the roots are there for my favourite games. Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. or is that just the nostalgia talking.

Re: Your favourite all time gaming magazine is?

I won't include Retrogamer only as it is a modern magazine. That then means that it would be Your Sinclair, although I used to read Crash as well sometimes and personal Computer Weekly and others but YS was the one that I regularly bought. :D

Re: Club RG - the return of Let's All Play

Cool. I remember playing it in the arcades, and then when the Speccy version came out I was so blown away that I must have spent hours playing it.

Re: Great Retro-gaming websites - the sticky thread!

I would have to give you www.radiosega.net. I'm sure they have had a mention some time ago, but I can't remember. Still, this is a great site for Sega fans and you can listen to the radio station as well as suggest songs to be played next.

Re: Happy 30th birthday to the ZX Spectrum

Forgot to say happy birthday speccy yesterday. I remember buying mine with the the insurance money when we were burgled and I'm embarresed to say that they took my Mattel Aquarius. Fortunately I was working at Boots Cookshop at the time and got a discount at Boots for my speccy.

As I have mentioned before, I love horror films, so it would have to be monster island.

Re: Rainbow Islands - First Impressions

The first time I played I did think that thuis is for kids, specifically girls. Nut something in the game kept me playing and I soon found a game that I loved and found wasn't for girls or kids.

It has got to be Doh. I love any references to other games in games that I am playing. Extra nostalgia when playing now.

Re: Rainbow Islands - Why is it a classic?

It is easy to pick up and play, it has cute graphics and has not been bettered by the sequels.
