How can I backup podcasts from Ipod???

Hi, Could anyone please help? I've got a large collection of retrogaming podcasts on my ipod, many of the earlier episodes aren't available for download anymore. I'd like to back them up to a hard drive but can't find a free piece of software to do it! I've tried so many trial versions but they're d...

Re: UK schools fancy themselves the games police

I'd love to know if some of the posters on this thread have any kids at all! When you become a parent of a child who's upper primary school onwards, the reality is that it's a very difficult line that you walk on a lot of issues and isn't as black and white as a lot of the comments suggest. I always...

Thanks, I'll take a look. Always had it down as a regular RPG rather then anything tactical.

Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread

Shadow man, Just wanted to say thanks for your time posting in this thread. I dip in and out and don't post as often as I should but buy so many based solely on your posts. Ur one of the few places I can get import vita info. Just ordered waking dead season two after your last post, didn't know it h...

Deepest handheld strategy game of all time?

Just wondered what you considered to be the deepest handheld strategy game of all time (excluding chess!)? I'm looking for the strategy game on the go, I've played advance wars and that would be up there I suppose. Some online opinions rate knights in the nightmare (NDS) highly as a deep game. I mig...

What a 'normal' number of games owned for you back then?

What constituted a 'normal' number of games owned for each era of gaming in your life back in the day? Master System - 6 - 8 games was the norm, this was after a few years of owning the console (I only received a game or two for xmas and then birthday) - maybe one or two 'budget' titles in there, bu...

Re: Insane Magazine Reviews

Sometimes a bad review isn't because of a final score but inappropriate, grandiose writing... "[it] has filled my head with so many ideas, so many opinions, so many emotions that wrestling them all into a coherent critique is like trying to strangle a swan made of jelly. Surrender to the game's refl...

Re: Insane Magazine Reviews

Dead or Alive - Extreme Beach Volleyball (XBOX) Edge Magazine - March 2003 - 8/10 This was the tipping point of when I started to give up on edge magazine, It wasn't just the score, which was ludicrous for a magazine that prided itself on strict scoring of games (at least back then) but the whole co...

Just ordered, how long could you make the game last if you try to collect everything on every level as you go? If it extends the game a bit, think this will be how I approach it.

Re: Anyone else find using emulators a bland soulless Exp

It takes a perfectly good image and then breaks it by slapping horrible lines all over it, making it look nothing like its supposed to. Wrong. To suggest it's simply 'slapping lines over it' is plain wrong, depending on which version you get it works on each of the RGB channels or in this case the ...

Re: Anyone else find using emulators a bland soulless Exp

Such a thing doesn't exist. I've yet to see a scanline emulation that looks remotely like a CRT, they all look horrid. Wrong. granted most look horrid, especially the filters included with newer mame releases, but use one of the filters from way-back mame versions (copied and applied applied to new...

Re: Anyone else find using emulators a bland soulless Exp

My points for making emulators a fulfilling experience: 1. Have a dedicated emualtion pc . (I use a small shuttle pc that sits nicely beside my tv) 2. Make sure that pc boots directly into your mame frontend .(I use Mala and the pc boots directly into this front end with all windows elements hidden ...

Re: Life of Pixel - a journey through 8-bit game systems

Got this last night based on this discussion and a review I read elsewhere and I absolutely loved it! I actually sat down to play one of my Vita's 'big' games but fired this up and spent the whole two hours available to me on it. The missus was asking what I was laughing/cursing at and to keep the n...

Re: sims city 2013 impressions

Besides, who's defending EA? What really gets me about all of this though is the forums for the game; as expected (and as usually happens upon a launch of this sort), it's just EXPLODING with complaints and "ZOMG why is this thing over here so stupid? Why is everything not working 500% perfectly in...

Your defence of EA is an embarrassment to yourself while everyone is watching.

That is all.
