Re: Preparing for winter

I remember when I was really, really young, lying in bed in winter and being able to see my breath it was that cold. We'd even get frost on the inside of the window! Still, that was a very rural village and we still relied on coal so lots of thick quilts and blankets came out for winter.

Re: Favourite RG Forum moments

Meeting so many forum regulars at the retro shows over the years has been a huge huge plus, shame you only meet them once or twice a year at these shows but theres a ton of top blokes here (and girls ! Re: PLAY EXPO (formerly Replay), 12-13 October 2013, Manches

Should've kept reading! ;) Later on we decided to give the VR Oculus prototype a go. Oh my word! Now I knew what The Hawk had been talking about. It was amazing! Had me ducking and diving, and even made me think twice about walking over a beam with a big drop either side (thanks vertigo). T'was exce...

Re: Easy to use MP3 player

I have a SanDisk Sansa - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002NX0ME6/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's a great little MP3 Player and not too expensive. It's 8GB + you can stick a 16GB memory card in as well. Easy to drop music on, and has a rather handy clip on the back which I've foun...

Re: PLAY EXPO (formerly Replay), 12-13 October 2013, Manches

I almost forgot to post! :o Had an excellent weekend at Play! I went to the Lass on Friday night with a couple of the RV guys and then chilled out with a few more people back the hotel. Surprised there weren't many people at the Lass, but I guess most were helping out back at the venue. Saturday cam...

Re: Corporate and sales motivation in the workplace.

I can't stand office speak. It's utterly pointless and makes people look daft. We've invented a new game in our office called "Buzzword Bingo", where we get points for each phrase we hear first. Extra points if it's a phrase no one's heard before. The ones that irritate me the most: Touching base Go...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Insidious - Chapter 2 Went to see this last night. Not half as scary as the first installment, but watchable nonetheless. Quite clever in places and a bit comical too, but not one I'll be buying when it's out on Bluray though. The Conjuring Hey, t'is the same actor as the main guy in Insidious! The...

Re: Selling consoles on Fleebay

Sold quite a few consoles and systems this year (some quite rare/expensive) and had no problems as such. Completely recommend what others are saying - take a photo of the serial number and if possible mark with a UV pen. I also suggest taking a photo of the system working and post that on your aucti...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Been playing Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn for a week or so now. I put a few hours into the beta version so knew what to expect, but I'm really impressed with it so far. I didn't get to play version 1 so can't compare it, but I'm thoroughly enjoying everything so far. Hooked, in fact. I loved FFX...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Started playing The Last of Us yesterday. Not far into it, but thought the beginning was excellent.

Been playing more Crystal Chronicles with my friends this evening, followed by a game of Mario Party 9. So glad we've started up our gaming nights again, they're such a blast :D

Re: Most played system.

I have quite a decent collection of Wii games, but I just can't seem to pry myself away from the PS3. I bought my Wii about 2 years ago, and only took it out the box and set it up for the first time last month
