Re: Most difficult games you ever played?
Art of Fighting 2. Great game but possibly the hardest fighter I've ever played, I get f****** whipped even with cheats enabled.
Honourable mentions: Ghouls N Ghosts, Ninja Gaiden, Magician Lord, R Type, Nam 1975, Ketsui, Salamander 2, Hidden and Dangerous, Operation Flashpoint, Mario Sunshine

Re: 3DS Games discussion/Collecting thread
Pretty sure everyone has played it to death but it's worth picking up a 3DS for Mario 3D Land alone. Hands down the best Mario game I've played for years, prefer it to Galaxy 2, it just keeps on giving. I'll be buying a wiiu for 3D Land and X. My only gripe with the hardware is the lack of region fr...

Re: Shinobi!
Shinobi 3 will always be my favourite. Amazing backdrops, punchy music and solid gameplay on the mega drive. Absolutely glorious. Anybody played the PS2 game lately? I owned it at one point but it didn't really grab me. I always assumed it was a weak entry, it's been getting a lot of praise on other...

Re: Hotline Miami
Grimy as in the setting and filters used, both games in my eyes have a smilar hue. Can't deny MP3 is a looker but it left me feeling completely unsatisfied in literally every other aspect especially compared to the first two. Apples and oranges I know compared to Hotline Miami, but this game does so...

Hotline Miami
Couldn't find a thread for this gem, anybody playing it? Possible GOTY for me, can't get enough. Best game soundtrack in years, ultra violence, trippy visuals/spritework and it completely trumps the travesty that was Max Payne 3 with it's grimy aesthetic and top down action. This game is currently p...

Re: Gradius V
Always preferred Salamander to Gradius, but I managed to pick up V for £15 yesterday at the local import shop. The owner was hoping it wouldn't go as he fancied a blast on it. Been on my shopping list for a while, safe to say I'll be setting up the PS2 tonight

Re: Bad times for the games industry
Game stores pre-owned policy is aids. HMV would probably get more sales if they didn't over charge and blast terrible pop music as loud as possible throughout the store. I and a lot of other people would have forked out for a 3DS if Megaman Legends 3 got a release, alas. I don't want another industr...

Re: The PSP collecting thread
I love my PSP to bits even though it sounds like like a hissing cat when reading a UMD . Such an underrated selection of games, I've acquired quite a few over the past year or so. Hopefully FF Type-0 gets a western release! Need a new memory card badly. Currently own: Castlevania X YS 1&2 Chron...
