Someone mentioned Garou: Mark of the wolves a few posts back, and i've got to agree it's one of the best fighters i've ever played. Im a big fan of KOF 02 too, and most of the streetfighters, except SF2, i'm in the camp that thinks its aged horribly. 2D undoubtedly is what keeps me coming back, but ...

I enjoyed it up until the last few levels, then it was just painful.
And yes Propeller Arena is indeed where it's at. I cant believe that never found its way onto another console, it's a great little game

It was only 2 levels (1 for each character) but those levels were the most superbly chrafted i think ive ever played. Huge link oportunities :D Throw in all the extras like the date affects, and being able to pla...

2 from 3 shooters

My local video shop has got a deal on at the mo, 2 games for £15. most of the games arent worth looking at, however they've got 3 shooters there: XII Stag, Gunbird special, and R-Type Final. So, which 2 of the 3 should i buy? My instincts are saying that R-type is one of the 2 that make the cut, wh...

Re: Last Hope - Neo Geo (Home Brew)

"maybe I should have started an Amstrad thread instead?"
 Leave it, leave it!

I really want a neogeo  I keep umming and arring over which version to get, this isnt helping. It is impressive that people can make homebrew games for it, and it looks a decent standard too

Re:

Anybody mentioned Panzer Dragoon Saga? It just needs a spit & polish to Orta standards of eye candy, you can leave the rest well alone. :P Oh to fight Atolm again ^_^ Yep, id second that. Also throw in the option to play through again with your fully powered up dragon, of at least a few levels fill...

I guess you did kind of have to be there, at least to get all the memories and wonderment associated with certain things. It is still possible to enjoy a game from before your time, and it may even create new memories if the games still good enough. Mainly I think being there allows you to gloss ove...
