Re: Jag and 3DO 20 years old this year.
Both the Jag and 3DO both seem to have both been released about two years too early. If they had come out at the same time roughly as the PS1 they would have benefitted from better tech and such and would have gone directly head to head with the PS and Saturn and who knows how things could have tur...

Re: CD32:Too Little, Too Soon? or was it: Too Little, Too La
Here's how the CD32 ran Doom-style and SF-style games: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XM0w4Nu_rMYs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkyhhMRBCro Yep, it was certainly too weak for these type of games that started to become popular at the time. Maybe if they added a 3D accelerator chip in there it coul...

Re: Sonic 4 on Andriod
Ages ago I bought Sonic 4 episode 1 in the Play Store but at the time my phone (which had no SD slot) didn't have enough internal memory left to download it. I've now got a Galaxy Tab 3 and was looking forward to finally getting to play it but I went into the Play Store and it doesn't seem to be th...

Re: CD32:Too Little, Too Soon? or was it: Too Little, Too La
It was certainly the best selling CD console on release, but its competitors were the Mega CD, CD-I. Jaguar CD and 3DO. It was never going to keep that record once the big guns turned up and - lo and behold - it didn't. The CD32's biggest problem was that the developers and publishers just didn't s...

Re: CD32:Too Little, Too Soon? or was it: Too Little, Too La
The AAA chipset in comparison to Saturn sounds very promising, are we talking original spec Saturn or the 'beefed-up' hardware and what sort of areas for equal power-2D/3D or as balanced between 2 Saturn was?. I got mixed up with the AAA chipet and Hombre (Commodore still threw AGA out to market wh...

Re: CD32:Too Little, Too Soon? or was it: Too Little, Too La
I don't think it was too little, too soon (as in Commodore went bust 6 months later!) but the whole AGA chipset was too little, too soon, as in the A1200 and CD32 machines, as mentioned above Commodore was working on a AAA chipset that be in comparison to a Sega Saturn in power but the project was o...

Re: Is there room for the Wii U in this gen?
Of course there is room for the Wii U in this gen (this coming from someone who loved the early 90's when 10 pieces of hardware would be in the same market at the same time!) I just got my Wii U for xmas, i have to say bar getting it online (grr Nintendo! same problem with the Wii too) we are loving...

Re: Trouble getting Wii U online
Well after countless hours and hair pulling it somehow connected finally! If there is someone else still cant connect, the only change from yesterday was to change the secondary D.N.S settings to 0.0.0.0 (still used googles 8.8.8.8 for the primary) Still such a pain and lucky i just randomly tried t...

Re: PC Love?
Except the game wouldn't work, because there wouldn't be enough memory, or it'd be the wrong chipset, or there'd be no CD drive to put the disc in. Except there were OCS compatible games released in 1996, im not talking AGA or CD32 games as they were different formats, my point is i highly doubt a ...

Re: PC Love?
You had to buy 3 mice?? What was wrong with them then? I've had my mouse for bloody ages, the CPU is an old i7 (ok, so it's still fast) and I recently upgraded the Graphics card after 4 years. But I never have any issues running games on it. The install, they run. I can adjust the settings to make ...
