for me it would have to be that eye toy thing for the ps2. The one time I actually played it I spent ages trying to get the lighting just right so it would work.

Expensive inaccurate rubbish, which I still have if anyone wants to make me an offer!

Defender

It's just too hard!
Agree, each time I've tried to play it just seems broken. You just want to fly fast have some fun and shoot some, but you get wasted almost straight away.

Never really been into asteroids either...

What is your idea of gaming heaven?

So what's your idea of gaming heaven? Is it: - Closing the curtains on a hot day and settling down to a gaming session when you should be outside? - Making that first cut in the shrink wrap round a new game (and why does it always need a knife?) and smelling that lovely new (or old) smell. - Booting...

I would say that retro is something that is not currently in vogue, but something that was at some point in the past. I guess you could say that a certain style of game could be considered retro even if it was written new today. So a 2d shooter created today is of a style belonging to the past, from...

One regret is not having a high score sheet I kept back in the day, would have been nice to remember what I was playing - and how crap I was...

An old photo shows me sitting in the bedroom with the paper on the wall behind me. Sadly the picture is to small to read.

I'm currently trying to get through IO on the C64 (...why do I get the urge to play through C64 games when games these days are meant to be so much better). It's still rock-hard, but practice is making perfect... Whilst in my C64 mood, I've been picking up on lots of other favourites, I guess the hi...

From the good old c64, I would have to go with:

Lightforce
TerraCresta
...and I Ball

(there's a better choice of Horizontal ones for another time...)
