Re: What are you currently playing?

I'm currently playing both Superfrog and Alien Breed from the Google Store on my Hudl 2 combined with my iPega 9023 gamepad. Still superb games today. Determined to finish them both.

Re: The Dreamcast is Overrated

I sold my original Dreamcast with around 200 games a few months ago for £100, and although it's my favourite console of all time, I now have all the games I played a lot of on my PC or PS3. It was a great console, with a great controller and some amazing features. Things just seemed so much better o...

Re: Nexus 7 tablet is fantastic at emulation!

I wasnt expecting my cheap Tesco Hudl tablet to do that much... Why not? The Hudl may be cheap but more powerful than the original Nexus 7, and not much less powerful than the newest Nexus 7. Indeed, the Hudl is quite a powerhouse with an awesome screen and of course that Micro-SD slot. I reviewed ...

Re: Anyone else find using emulators a bland soulless Exp

I think as a fair few of us get older, move houses or get married , get a girlfriend etc its hard to keep some retro room ! Again in an ideal world i'll have tons of consoles and that ready to set up by a tv but i simply cant. Emulation just lets me keep enjoying these old classics and thats a grea...

Re: Anyone else find using emulators a bland soulless Exp

I have tried several times to get into emulation gaming, even bought a mini pc with Hdmi out and set it up with a frontend with all the emulators on, but I just get bored. I just find scrolling through the lists lacks something. I know I am essentially playing the same game but I just can't underst...

Cool, because that's the superior version of the game with more content and soundtrack etc.

Oooh, this is hard. So many years of playing in arcades and so many good memories. So, I'll have to choose three.

Outrun
Sega Rally
Galaxians

Re: Are storylines becoming more important than gameplay?

Games are evolving, people are playing games differently, the line between the film industry and the gaming industry is narrowing. It's all good, as it just adds to the choice we have now, anything that evolves has to be a good thing, or we'd still be stuck playing Space Invaders and Pacman. I have ...

Re: Speccy VS C64 VS CPC

I was the twelth to vote for the Amstrad CPC. I had the 464 plus all the add-ons, and later had a 6128+. I was (un)lucky enough to also have a Sperctrum 48k at roughly the same time, which I bought off a mate for £8odd as he was desperate for money and it came with a ton of games. I remember loading...

Zub on the CPC464. No other platformer came close to the fun and skill needed to complete it.

I remember loving this game, and the music was great too. If the price is right I'll get the new remastered version, but not if its more than a fiver!

Re: If you could re-experience a game for the first time??

Although I'd been gaming for years before I had a Megadrive, it was Golden Axe that first gave me a jaw-dropping experience that I'd love to re-experience again. I'd also love to experience the first Uncharted again, that was pretty mind-blowing.
