Re: How big are you expecting the PS4 VR to be?
I picked up Everybody's Golf VR and Blood & Truth last week. Having had EG glued to my PSP and Vita for many years, i was really intrigued by the potential of a VR version. I do remember just standing there laughing as suddenly i found myself transported to the first tee - a feeling that you'll neve...

Re: How big are you expecting the PS4 VR to be?
It's really not bad - nowhere near as good as a dedicated 3D TV (obviously the resolution takes a big hit), but as a bonus feature, it's decent. People have complained about the screen drifting so you should probably watch in the dark so it doesn't get confused with other light sources. Best quote f...

Re: What Are Your Favourite C64 Games?
Any love for Rocketball out there? Essentially it's a rip off of the film Rollerball. It's one of the best sports (if you include fictional...) games on the C64.

Re: How big are you expecting the PS4 VR to be?
Anyway there is so much variety in both ways of gaming, to disregard flat gaming is a bit odd Totally agree. It's like saying you can't listen to an album that isn't in 5.1 or watch a blu-ray that isn't 3d. Their loss. In a few years they'll be saying they can't bear to touch PSVR anymore as it's t...

Re: Photo's of your retro collection.
It's a log cabin, the roof and floor are insulated and the walls are 44mm wood that I applied wood preserver inside and out to. The glass in the doors and windows is double glazed. I've checked and there's never been any condensation (unlike my actual house oddly!) Bonus points for the Doctor Who T...

Re: How big are you expecting the PS4 VR to be?
I've had mine for just over a year now. I think you can genuinely say now that if you want to play all the best games that PS4 has to offer, you do need to buy a PSVR as well. I'm about six levels into Astrobot, but it's an absolute jaw dropper and they've got the mechanics of a great platformer spo...

Re: XBox 360
Thanks for the warning. I did order the Matrix Trilogy before reading, but at £3 its not a bad gamble if worse comes to worse. Ahh well, least there's a good number of other studios that tried supporting the format. Just checked and i've got 29 of them! It's borderline criminal that a company as hu...

Re: XBox 360
I have the HD dvd add on. It's a really lovely little system and there are some real bargains to be had. I did initially experience a slight judder in the picture when the camera panned left to right or vice versa, but this just disappeared when i hooked it up to a different TV. Word of warning, wat...

Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll
Can you imagine running a business where after a huge delay in getting your product to market, you give another delivery date...and when it passes, act like it never happened? No apologies, no explanations and no excuses. You just post a video and act like you hadn't promised a thing. That video did...

Re: Mini Sega Megadrive anyone?!
It looks like AtGames are behind it again which is a shame given their track record. Hopefully they will have take a long look at the Mini NES and SNES and use them as the standard they need to reach. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/04/atgames_confirms_its_making_the_mega_drive_mini_then_delet...

Re: How big are you expecting the PS4 VR to be?
Has anyone tried Wipeout yet? It's a free update that converts the entire game into VR and puts a lot of dedicated VR games to shame. I remember being at a friend's house back and watching Wipeout 2047 in amazement. I had that same feeling as i found myself sitting in my craft and looking out at the...

Re: The Star Wars thread
Holdo's withholding her "plan" from everyone lead to a sub plot that went nowhere, only to highlight social agendas that don't belong in a Star Wars film. This leads Poe to arranging a justified mutiny that when foiled and is told of the actual plan, says that it might just work. He would have had ...

Re: RIP <Insert celebrity>
Bob sent me a FB friend request after we somehow met on a random thread and ranted how Husker Du were one of the greatest bands in the world shortly after Grant Hart passed away. That alone was such a thrill having been such a fan of his work for so long. His posts were always funny and self depreca...
