Hi guys, Glad you like it! Yes, it did take ages. Writing up the text was easy enough but tedious, especially as some of the things are really easy to do but hard to describe (such as exactly where to position yourself). Making the video clips was more work. It's amazing how you can't get things rig...

Bubble Bobble level guide
I've just finished putting online my all new complete strategy guide to all 100 levels of the classic Taito arcade game, Bubble Bobble. The game is 20 years old this year, and it feels great to finally give something back to the game that I've enjoyed so much for such a long time. Every level comes ...

Re:
Incidentally, did anybody here ever get that CEEFAX thing working with their BBC micros? I didn't have a BBC micro so my only exposure to this was the pages of random-characters that you mentioned in your post. However I do remember the BBC sending programs for other computers in the early hours of...

Re:
It looks like a "We love Cookie" poster behind Roys desk. I (sad geek that I am) paused the Sky+ box to look at that poster. I thought it said "We love coders," but you could well be right. I've deleted it now so I can't check. Anyone else got any suggestions? I can't decide whether Roy's t-shirt i...

We used to have two shops like this in Brighton: Softcentre and Gamer. I've no idea whether Softcentre was related to the one in Wales or not, but they didn't exactly have a prime location, in an underground area of the otherwise-outdoor shopping centre. It felt like taking an escalator down into a ...

Issue 20 is here
To my great surprise, issue 20 just arrived on my doorstep.
What an excellent early Christmas present!
Only had time to flick through so far but it looks just as good as the last issue.
Thanks guys!

Polymorf 3D v1.1
Hopefully you guys won't mind me plugging the new version of my screen saver that I released last night! :) Polymorf 3D displays a pretty shiny 3d shape that spins and rotates around the screen. Now with added textured goodness, and you can even use your own images to customise it further. It's comp...

Article footer symbol
In general I think the design of the new RG is very nice, but there's one small thing that has disappeared that I'm missing: the little "article footer" symbol. All the articles in RG used to finish with a little "RG*" symbol (which transformed into a space invader in later issues). Having this mean...

Show us your Christmas trees
By now I expect lots of you will have put up Christmas trees, so why not take a quick photo on your digital camera and show us what your trees look like? :) Here's mine to start us off: http://www.adamdawes.com/private/ChristmasTree.jpg It looks better in real life, but I spent a while trying to get...

Hi tinylee, My only suggestion would be not to use Flash. :) The content and presentation all seems fine to me; if it looked exactly the same but in simple HTML (without all the animations and building up each page a piece at a time) I'd think it was great. I always find Flash sites a real turn-off,...
