Re: Your New Retro Gamer Community Team

I can't speak for Joe here, nor can I pretend to know what's going on at higher levels of the company. However, if there was some drive to abandon forums as a matter of policy, I can't imagine Joe and his team would have been allowed to start big jobs like the major upgrades they're involved in els...

Re: Your New Retro Gamer Community Team

Jpishgar after Future bought several mags they closed or merged the forums. I realise this forum/forums in general are dead and Facebook and Twitter are your main concern as they are your bread and butter so to speak. With you & your team split between several places at once, does this bode well for...

Re: Recommended games for 3 or more simultaneous local players

Demon, Golden Axe the Revenge of Death Adder allows for 4 players. All 4 players can do team moves on enemies. Capcom Arcade Classics on PS4 Switch etc had Knights of the Round 3 player, Battle Circuit I think has 4 players. The mech game certainly is 4 players. Snes and PC Engine both had multitaps...

That looks class. Hopefully he releases a demo so I can play it on my Vectrex flash card.

Needs to be played on the original Vectrex hardware emulators don’t do it justice.

Re: Shooting Gallery Games Recommendations

Hmm. Firstly, thanks for all the game mentions. Had a watch of gameplay of all the games mentioned and none of them really match what I'm after. Though Hogan's Alley was a good one. I'm more looking for games where it's on rails, old school before video arcades style. Like: https://www.youtube.com/...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Renegade is indeed on there, in addition to its Nekketsu Koha Kunio-Kun Japanese version. That sounds class I will have to invest in that. Btw what’s your opinion of the Snes Kunio-Kun scrolling fighter? Is the all female scrolling fighter on the PC Engine cd an a official Kunio-Kun game or just a ...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Oh I just remembered Travis Strikes Again is out in a couple of weeks, a sequel of sorts to the No More Heroes games on the Wii, developed in Japan by Suda 51 and co. It looks as bonkers as you'd expect, and with a lot of retro inspired gameplay and references. Anybody else getting this? I don't kn...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Bloodstained has no new news, only that the Linux and Mac ports are cancelled. Which... is less than promising for development. Thankfully at least the prequel 8 bit game was fantastic. But I'm starting to have doubts over how the full game will turn out. RE2 isn't getting a Switch port. None of Ca...

Re: Minor or lesser known Arcade Coin-Ops you really liked

I remember really loving the Castlevania arcade game that was under a different name. Never actually played it myself at the arcade, and only saw it once. But it looked really impressive. Got to play it in Mame32 decades later, and I completely suck at it. Which is odd as I'm really good at the res...
