Re: Game posters & adverts.

Did anyone follow up on the threat of a calendar? As it's that time of year I've just had a quick browse round the net for one but alas all I could find was a not very good German one...

Bought this subject up before for RG to do one but it unfortunately fell on deaf ears. :?

BBC emulator that takes uncompressed screenshots?

Basically as above.

I'd like to take some screen shots of a few beeb games but would like them saved out in a uncompressed format so they are pixel sharp.

Could anyone recommend me an emulator that will do this?

Thanks in advance.

Just reading this issue now due to the Xmas break.

On page 46 there's a wonderful painting of Bruce Campbell and a nasty little midget. Could someone tell me where this image is from?

What amazes me is how much flack Oli's got for taking the 'easy option' by having the audacity to use—gasp!—Photoshop, rather than some creaky old piece-of-crap airbrush. Clearly, anyone who genuinely considers that the easy option hasn't actually used Photoshop all that much. Must... bite... t...

Guys it's just an opinion. As much as you can't understand my mine, I sure as hell can't understand yours. But the world wouldn't be any fun without differences of opinions, would it! In my defence though, I'd be interested to see the reception that cover would receive were it posted on conceptart.o...

Ok got the issue finally, not reading it till Xmas tho along with the previous issue. Saving them for the hols. :) The cover.. I'm sorry but it's terrible. Obviously I'm in the minority though as the vast majority of posters here love it. Bizarre, the only reason I can think of for that is the old r...

Regarding the cover..

Surely, if you've managed to get Oli Frey to do a piece for you, it's preferable to do an 'original' cover? I mean, all the hard works done, money/scheduling getting the guys agreement so why not let him go wild and do something original?

It seems a bit barmy to me.. :?

I'm a massive, massive fan of Mr Frey but.. but.. I'm sorry I just don't think much of the cover.. Maybe I'll like it better once I've got my copy? From the pictures posted here tho it just looks quite plain and artistically speaking, pretty weak.. I really rate the guy, his art book is in m...

I never used those calenders. I generally know what year it is anyhow. That right there is a great post. If not boo and WHY not? Because it was suck budget from other areas that are more important. I don't see this as a contributing factor at all. RG is niche but from what I've heard, has a resonab...

Can we have a calendar with the Xmas issue please?

I've posted this every so often, where appropriate, in other threads. Only to be met with stoney silence... So here's a big bold thread all of its own! It's probably too late now but hey, what the heck. If it is then surely it's already happening as its the most obvious thing in the entire universe!...

I think a more important question rather than what game we'll be playing is 'will Retrogamer be including a Calendar in the Xmas issue' !!!!???

Bionic Commando is also a bit poo - I just find it lacks an element of skill and seems designed to make sure you get killed fairly regularly and have to keep putting coins in. Preferred the Speccy version. Blasphemy! Lacks skill? Maybe you were just no good at it!? :P Not a actual game from me but ...

Weeell, at least I can bask in the glow of knowing I'm not going mad. Apparently Edge have beaten you to it and have an article on Tie this month!

Shame I hate Edge..
