Re: PS4 likely to be disc-based

I can see something in the same vein as OnLive in the next decade or so being introduced by Sony et al as their infrastructure improves to cope with its demands. OnLive, Netflix etc are good examples of how it can work effectively...

Re: PS4 likely to be disc-based

Of course it will, Sony wouldn't want to undermine Blu-ray, certainly not yet. Their digital services still have some way to go besides.

Re: Non recycled retro stuff

Interesting that, it makes sense that voluntary organisations wouldn't want to shell out on the insurance costs to cover electricals, the main ones such as oxfam etc won't budget it into the running costs of their shops! Gap in the market perhaps?

Re: Non recycled retro stuff

I often hear of charities shops being unable to resell electronic equipment due to danger of fire etc, but how does this not apply to somewhere such as CeX or even a private seller on e-bay? If the shops had the resources to PAT test equipment before putting it on sale would this relinquish the liab...

Re: Charity Shops

I've never been one to trawl charity shops, but living in the charity shop capital of the world that is Darlington and seeing some of your hauls I'm starting to think it might be worth having a look in sometime...

Re: What are you currently playing?

This week I 'ave been mostly playing Tim Schafers Stacking. As expected, a fine quirky little game. The atmosphere and humour really make it stand out from alot of downloadable titles, and the bonus of it being 'free' seals the deal. If anyone has considered subscribing to PSN+, I'd say now until th...

A 5.5/10 from Gamespot is like a 3/10 from GamesTM too.
Or a 4/10 from Edge!
Yeah but with Edge a 4 is often better than a 5

Re: Even better than the real thing

Really? I don't think anyone in their right minds considers their phat collection of roms a true part of their vidya game collection. Personally I see nothing wrong with it, it's there to be used after all, you'd be stupid not to atleast get some enjoyment out of emulation But then, at the end of it...

Re: Shadow Complex

If anyones after this for free, theres a glitch in the trial to unlock the full game instantly however you can't save and get achievements, but you'll still be able to use the fullgame checkpoints. I've bought it anyway since it's such a good game like, but for others, pausing the game and loading th...
