Re: Video game documentaries?

I love the Speccy Addict films, some really good interviews with the folks that made some of my favourite games and magazines from that era. I'm glad to have backed all 3 on Kickstarter.

Re: The Star Wars thread

Saw it last night & absolutely loved it.

So glad the internet wasn't around in the 80s to tell me how wrong I was about loving the original trilogy.

Re: Android game recommendations

I'm pretty late to the party, but Arkanoid Vs Space Invaders is a great investment. A fiver is a bit steep for an Android game (I know right!) but well worth a punt as there's no freemium garbage, no ads, no DLC, no pay to win or any of that business. Just a straight up fun game that uses the touch ...

Re: From the Forum - Issue 199: Shareware

I wish I could remember what it was called. It was a Missile Command clone & it was the greatest version of Missile Command I've ever played...but I've never been able to find it since!

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

I hated Age of Ultron, it was the only Avengers film I didn't like. Maybe it's time for a rewatch & re-appraisal.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 195

On a major catch up of issues on a rare lazy Sunday afternoon. I really enjoyed this issue, Spiderman, Amiga Power & Konami articles are all great. However, I've just read the Nintendo DS "Hardware Heaven" & it's bugged me so much I am disproportionately incandescent with rage! "around the turn of t...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Spiderman 2 (the new one). Really good, maybe better than the first one. I've completely lost track of the Spider Man films. In the last 18 years we've had 3 reboots spanning 7 films & an animated spin off & quite a few cameos in the MCU it's no wonder you're confused. I think I know Spiderman's or...

Re: Wanted: Atari 2600 Soccer games

Only just spotted this! Cheers, I managed to pick up some old carts in the end. I've relabeled them Real Sports Soccer is now FIFA '82 & Pele's Soccer is now George Best's Soccer...purely for my own amusement! https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2128555313899140&id=136205879800770&set=a.6559885511...

So then, the "last" batch of games announced. - Tetris - Darius - Road Rash II - Strider - Virtua Fighter 2 - Alisia Dragoon - Columns - Dynamite Headdy - Kid Chameleon - Monster World IV - Light Crusader - Eternal Champions So it looks like this time round the emulation should be spot on, M2 should...

Great stuff. Sometimes the best thing you can do is take a break for a few years & then come back to something with renewed enthusiasm.

I find the love of retro & gaming in general comes in waves & it's great when you get the buzz back.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 193

Still catching up with last month's mag, a lot of good reading in there. Enjoyed the Mortal Kombat article, like many people I haven't played any if them since MK2 so it was interesting to see how it's evolved over the years. Loved the Mastertronic article, would love it to have been 35 pages instea...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Yes, enjoying WWDITS, I liked the film, but it definitely works better in 25 minute bursts.
