First person retro co-op RPG's (and others)

I've been looking around for rpg's to play with my sister and/or GF. I've especially been looking for First person CRPG's, similar to Wizardry, Dungeon-Master, etc. Here's what I've found so far: Swords and Serpents: Console - NES #players - 4 mechanic - turn-based Bloodwych: Console- PC/Amiga/ZX Sp...

Personally I liked Metal Slug 2 for the Neo Geo pocket the best. There was just enough added stuff to keep the idea innovative even on an 8 bit handheld.

Get the complete version of Star Wars, its the best value for money. Controls are a piece of censored too. Even girls can play it. Hey now I take that to offense. So she hates the controls in most console first person shooters, but she can play a VIOLIN and a GUITAR. I can barely bang out a tune on...

Yeah actually Lego Star Wars was one I had thought about earlier. I guess this is one I need to go out and rent. THough when I had thought about it at the time it was when they only had the lego star wars prequel crud. Now they've got the original Trilogy. Thanks for bringing that one up. I can't re...

Sweet! I love game blogs! Especially of classic CRPG's. Please send me a link if you got one. It was a blog that got me to play through Akalabeth and Ultima to begin with.

Games to get my gf into

Believe it or not my Girlfriend loves games, she's just hesitant to try anything new especially if the controls are too complex. She does tend to let the scores get in the way of her having fun as well. She also has this unfounded belief that she sucks at games. Which as you will see down the list i...

I think Doom has aged badly. Pixilated graphics, bad sound, no ability to look around, repetative gameplay. How different this game seemed in the early 1990's. Still a though game tho  I disagree, Doom is one of the few games I've come back to and played again (especially because of the moddi...

If you log in to Cyber1 and get on their plato emulator there's an awesome multiplayer team based star trek game. It was called EMPIRE, I've played a few times and it was a blast! I suck at it though and it would take me a while to get back into it anyway as I haven't played in a while. Great fun an...

Looks like Shogi to me. I know there was a Shogi game for the MSX but it didn't look like that at all.

Sounds interesting , never heard of it before though? You can find it on www.the-underdogs.info I wouldn't say its the greatest game in the world or anything, but its one of those good coffee break games I play further into every now and then when I'm stuck somewhere with my laptop. I'm not sure ho...

That's GREAT! I love the old classic 8 bit megaman games. I also loved the gb ones as well. I actually was working with a friend on a wolfenstein mod based off of MM with robot master weapons and everything just in 3d (and no jumping or at least not at the time). Though its been a long ongoing proje...

I'd have said Snatcher, because it is absolutely one of THE best games I ever played, I even played SD Snatcher the whole way through, not too shabby. But since that's taken I'll hit the best RPG I ever played. Dungeon Master. Especially the Windows port Return to Chaos because it allows FULL custom...

Yeah I'd like to get ahold of this for the XBOX because I play alot of the dragon's lair style games on a dance pad. I know the game style is not to most people's liking, but on a dance pad its a whole new ball game. Its more entertaining then DDR (IMO) and it makes these games alot more challenging...

There was a crapload in the sonic games. In sonic 3 and Knuckles there was this funny bug was hard to pull off but it was funny as heck. If you had all the chaos emeralds and were on the snowboarding level, and got 50 rings (tricky but doable) and you double jumped, you'd turn into Hyper sonic with ...
