Re: Happy 30th birthday to the ZX Spectrum

To celebrate, I've uploaded 2 games for our beloved little machine. They are: BRIAN VS THE BULLIES This is a game that I wrote a while back using Jonathan Cauldwell's excellent Platform Game Designer. I actually wrote this for the Cronosoft Cassette 50 that chaosmongers announced a few years back (i...

Re: Happy 30th birthday to the ZX Spectrum

Although my favourite computer is the Amiga, I just have to give a big thumbs up to the good ol' Speccy! My family didn't have one back in the day (my dad was a commodore lover, so by the time I was born in 1986, my family had a VIC-20 and a C128), but didn't mean I never owned or played on one. We ...

Re: Best Use of the Amiga's AGA Chipset

The AGA version of Theme Park is vastly improved over the ECS version. Not only does it look better, it has a cool intro, more stuff, and is much less buggy :)

Re: So I kinda auditioned for the X-Factor yesterday...

Hey there dude! Nice one! Saying that, I don't really watch it that much. I personally can't stand Simon bloody Cowell!!! I too had a friend who applied a few years back, but sadly couldn't do it due to other, more important, commitments. Shame, because if he did, I reckon he could've gone th...

Re: 20th Anniversary of the Super Nintendo

20 years ago?!?! Blimey! Where has the time gone! The SNES was a fantastic machine that had a library full of great games, my favourite easily being Yoshi's Island! Classic game! :D I just wish someone could invent a magical cable that would make it look great on my HDTV! I think you can get a speci...

Re: Which is the better film - Robocop or The Terminator?

Both films are great, but seeing as I can only pick one, I've gone for Terminator because it had the better story :-)

NO you can't, coz I'm still alive! :)

Just got back from the hospital. Leg is all bandaged up and I'm wearing a support stocking on the other. Will be changing the bandage with another support stocking tomorrow. Quite hungry now, even after 2 rounds of sandwiches. Having a bowl of Cheerios now :D

Re: I've got to go to hospital tomorrow...

Thanks for all the replies :) had a 10" pepperoni pizza and baked beans for lunch :) amazingly I also got the latest issue of rg through the post, so at least I've got something to keep me interested while I'm there :) Re food: I had to go to hospital years ago to get a mole removed from my arm. Re: Another World PC - 3.5" version on Delphine Collection??

Could well be that it's only 1 disk. Is it a HD 1.44MB disk? The Amiga version came on 2 disks but that's because the Amiga only uses standard/double density disks holding 880k each. Also, quite a few PC games required installation to a hard drive as all the data on the disk is compressed, unless of...

I've got to go to hospital tomorrow...

...to have an operation on my left leg as I've got varicose veins. It's a quick and simple operation that lasts only 45 mins, but it's the time of the operation that annoys me. 5pm! Means I can't eat anything after 12pm. Plus although I'll be given something to eat after the operation, it'll just be...

Re: Name your favourite Disney Video Game.

Very sad when you see all the crappy cash-ins like Princess And The Frog that get spewed out these days. Disney used to be a really reliable mark of quality. Have you actually seen the movie? If you haven't then you'll be quite surprised at the quality! Despite the whole princesses thing it's a cra...

Re: Name your favourite Disney Video Game.

There's loads of Disney games I can list, but if I had to choose one then it would have to be Aladdin on the Amiga. A great conversion from the Megadrive that made great use of the Amiga's graphics and sound capabilities. Honourable mentions go Lion King (MD), Toy Story (MD) and Winnie the Pooh in t...
