Bongo by Jetsoft.

It doesn’t play great and it looks worse but I always enjoyed it.

Re: Your Favourite Five Spectrum Games

Rebelstar 2 is definitely top. After that the other four are;

Quazatron
Renegade
Megabucks
Myth

(Chaos and Green Bert both unlucky to miss out)

Re: What's Your Favorite Driving/Racing Game Ever?

Trackmania. The first one. Before the series became obsessed with visuals. It was a great mix of racer, puzzle game and construction kit. Gripshift. Has the puzzle element of Trackmania but also the best power-up racer ever. Way better than any Mario Kart. Outrun 2 Burnout Paradise. People cite 2 or...

Re: The most disappointed you've ever been in a release

In terms of sequels; Renegade 3 Resident Evil 3 EDF: Insect Armageddon PES6 Tenchu 2 Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun Magnetron Skyrim Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Original games disappoint me all the time but I usually put that down to my own taste or reviewers who hype stuff up. Wartech: Senko no ...

Re: Favourite Resident Evil?

Of the original trilogy, 2 by a mile. I never enjoyed 1 (it was more fun to watch it being played) and 3 was trash. I enjoyed 2 enough to beat it a few times.

They all pale before the greatness of 4.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Trying to get into Risk of Rain 2. I loved the first one, not feeling this one but I feel like it might be entirely down to the joycons. They are so unsuitable for 3PS/FPS games.

Re: Retrogaming Spotlight: Donkey Kong

I love it. It’s a brutal game but very rewarding. My high score isn’t going to bother the top players but I keep coming back to it.

It is one of two games I have installed on my Switch.

Loved it on the Dreamcast but tried the remaster and it has not aged well at all.

Finished Killing Floor: Incursion. Short and sweet but the controls are a constant struggle. Arizona Sunshine remains the best zombie shooter on there but you need the Aim controller to get the best out of it.

Started Blood and Truth. It's really good so far.

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

One Cut of the Dead - a sort of zombie horror/comedy thing that's remarkable for being sort of rubbish (but interesting) for the first third, then a bit dull (but better quality) for the second and then being astonishingly good for the last third. Slaughterhouse Rulez - if you're hoping that Pegg/Fr...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Bird Box - excellent. A bit like A Quiet Place. Maybe not as good as that but still great.
Tales From the Crypt (1972) - surprisingly good for a really old portmanteau.

TV

Nightflyers - one episode only. Decent looking sci-fi horror thing from George RR Martin.

Re: What are you currently playing?

I've been having a great time in Spintires:Mudrunners. In my 35 years of gaming I’ve never played a game that is so unpleasant to play. It’s a horrible game environment, it actively hurts your right trigger finger as you desperately try to get any speed going, it couldn’t be more brown, it explains...

Re: How big are you expecting the PS4 VR to be?

So, how do we all feel about Tetris Effect? I like it but the hype around this one is silly. Push Square described it as a spiritual experience which is daft because it's just Tetris, literally just good old Tetris, with some good visualisers. I still rate Rez Infinite as the best PSVR game. BTW if ...
