Re: Akihabara, Tokyo

There's not much point in continuing the conversation any further so this will be my last post on the matter. When the News of the World was closed down I remember hearing interviews with Sun readers asking if they would carry on buying it. Almost all would. Some of them decided they didn't believe ...

Re: Playstation TV Questions

Bear in mind the very expensive memory cards you will need that range from £30 to £60 as well as a PS3 pad. If you don't have a PS3 it's a no brainer to go for that first. I looked at a PS TV to play persona 4 golden, will probably pick one up but it is a fairly limited device, hence the big price c...

Re: Akihabara, Tokyo

I visited with my wife on our honeymoon. We walked down the high street and there were hundreds of girls dressed in ridiculous outfits handing out leaflets while geeky guys with disposable income meandered around. Of course, we assumed it was all part of the Otaku culture and all that (well, I did a...

Best version of Resident Evil 2

It doesn't look like Resi 2 will get a remake any time soon but which is the best version to pick up now? I've got the PS1 version but are the dreamcast and gamecube versions any better? Will the game look any better with a dreamcast VGA cable or is it identical to the PS1?

Re: Wii U Owners Thread - Including User IDs

I think I was supposed to write £30 for Splatoon, £0 would be a real bargain.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Resident Evil HD on PS4, It's amazing how well this game holds up considering it's nearly 20 years old. It still has a unique atmosphere and feel to it, definitely one of my all time favourite games. How hard would it really be to make another game in this style? If they used pre-rendered background...

Re: Platinum

One of the best studios around at the moment. Bayonetta was one of my favourite games last gen and Scalebound is the kind of game to make me buy another XB1.

Re: Bloodborne PS4

Finished this at the weekend. Great game, got the ending with the three umbilical chords. The interconnecting levels, graphics and world lore were all fantastic but there isn't enough variety in environments or fighting styles. Personally I thought all the souls games were better than Bloodborne. Ho...

Re: Playstation Plus & PSN Updates!

PS Plus seems no better value than XBox gold to me, the free games are a waste of time. I have either already bought them or haven't the slightest interest in them. It feels a bit like some sort of tax to subsidise tight fisted gamers or teenagers. I don't mind paying for online but don't wan't the ...

Re: Bloodborne PS4

I'm trying to find one of the last weapons for a trophy, but it is apparently in a chalice dungeon, which can only be opened with a level 4 ritual blood, which can be obtained from another chalice dungeon, that ate the spider to catch the fly. FROM know how to make you jump through hoops :)

Re: Wii U Owners Thread - Including User IDs

Splatoon can be pre-ordered for £0 now, looks like a good deal.

I wonder if Nintendo will ever bother with an official price cut? It really should be under £200 at least.

Re: Akihabara, Tokyo

I thought Akihabara was ok but I was a little disappointed with the games selection and arcades. The big Taito and SEGA world had little of interest, although loud music and smoking did take me back to the arcades of old. The amount of under age prostitutes is pretty off putting too.

Re: From The Forum Issue 142

Ikaruga. Due to the amount of press it received it's just not cool to say this any more, especially with shmup fans who try and insist it's a puzzle game really. No, it's a shoot em up and the best one around too!

Re: Konami is it over?

It's kind of sad but they will probably move to other business areas and mobile games. They relied far too heavily on Metal Gear and have made little effort with new IP's so it's hard to have too much sympathy. Looking at some of the games on PS3 there is no reason Konami couldn't have revived the l...
