Ultra Pocket Pro 500
Does anyone know anything about this? On sale for $29.95 reduced from $69.95 with free shipping, looks a bit too good to be true. The website doesn't say what's inside it, and it has good reviews.

Re: From The Forum Issue 201
Probably wouldn't say Galaxy Invader 1000 was my favourite, but one of my first, and whenever I see I picture of it I still regret not retrieving it from my parents' loft when they moved house.

Re: Questions for Barry Leitch
He did gaming music... I can't ask him any questions, I went to school with him! Just say hi from me!

Re: e-mail from Future Publishing
As I said in a different thread my 'please re-subscribe' email was gibberish - offering my a year for £27.99 which was then unattainable when going to the website. And they've just sent me another identical one...

Re: RE: Free Subscription Incentives
I just got a 'Black Friday' renewal offer for £27.99 for a year (which it said was 20% off). I cancelled my subscription a few months ago as I wasn't seeing enough to interest me in the mag any more. Followed the link, renewal is £49.99, enter the code and it ended up as £39.99 (as expected, 20% off...

Re: Retro Gamer issue 179
Only disappointed there's no Barry Leitch tunes on the CD. Only because I went to school with him!
Got the poster too, but given I'm too old to putting up posters of computers on my walls, if anyone didn't get one and wants it you can have it for the cost of P&P!

Re: From the forum issue 178 - Goldeneye
I had a Playstation and remember reading a lot about how great Goldeneye was but actually never played it until years later. First a quick game on multiplayer with my brother-in-law which failed miserably as he was one of those folk who knew the game inside out and I'd never played it! Then played t...

Re: Damaged Issues
A bit late to the party on this, just checked and I have marks on the covers as described. Not enough to tear, but the marks are clear enough when you're looking for them.

Re: Retro Gamer 167
I forgot I had Screamer installed from ages ago until I read the article, nice little arcade racer that I've now been playing again. Favourite thing in the mag was a mention for Grand Prix Legends in Desert Island Disks. If I remember correctly it came out in 1998, I bought my first PC specifically ...

Re: From The Forum issue 163 - Tomb Raider memories
I remember playing the PC demo levels first and just thinking how different it was. Then I had the original one on Playstation, played it to the end and did the same with Tomb 2. I remember there were some points where the camera pulled back to show how huge an area you were in, and you just thought...

Re: From The Forum issue 159 - Codemasters
TOCA and Colin McRae Rally - when the first ones in the series came out they really were revolutionary as far as racing games were concerned. I loved the Rally School in the first CMR game with Colin's instructions and comments - "Try to remember it's not your car!"

Good to see a feature on Croc - I always felt it was an unappreciated game. Played it all the way through back in the day, and my 8 and 9 year old boys are enjoying it now.

Re: From the forum issue 154 - Quake
Never really got into Quake - a friend thought it was the greatest thing ever and was most disappointed when I didn't 'get it' when he showed me it! But then I like racing games, flight and train simulators, so no, not likely to be my thing!

Re: Discuss Time! 149
Don't buy a lot of older games - occasionally pick up an old Game Gear game, as long as it works and the price is right I'm happy, you can always find instructions on the net.
