I, Partridge - Alan Partridge (Steve Coogan)
Absolutely, hilarious! The audio version is even better
Agreed. The book is great but the audiobook is absolutely superb. I think I prefer Nomad more than I, Partridge.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Mario galaxy. Done the 120 with mario, now going through it with Luigi for full completion. I've got Galaxy but I bought Galaxy 2 first and never really put that time into the first. I'm getting the Mario collection for Switch at Christmas so looking forward to playing through it. And I've never pl...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

On the E Shop check out Space Elite Force.

Decent little shoot em up and at the moment it's on offer at 26p so well worth a look at that price.

Re: Super Mario 35th Anniversary

The 35 player Mario Brothers battle is fantastic. Gets pretty chaotic when everyone's killing all the enemies and sending them into your game and vice versa. The Mario Kart is a great idea but from what I've seen it's got a lot of flaws, plus I don't like the idea of having to set it up every time y...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Playing Red Faction Guerrilla Remarstered on the Switch. Really enjoyed it back when the original came out so having fun replaying it. And I've completed Doom 2 lots of times over the years but never 100% on kills, items and secrets on every stage so playing through that again and I'm not allowed to...

Re: Why is Tails hated so much?

Already been pointed out on this thread but for me its the special stages where he loses rings and can mean the difference between getting a chaos emerald or not. But on the other hand, my friend messing with the second joypad and discovering that he could control tails was pretty fun. And useful on...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

I watched Richard Jewell recently. I'm interested in that sort of thing but for some reason I'd never heard of him or the events that happened before the 1996 Olympics. Fascinating film.

Re: Time to re read old Retrogamer Magazines

I sold virtually all of mine around 6 years ago. I found that once I became a dad my gaming time would be less so I decided that I'd get rid of them to someone who'd get some enjoyment. Plus to be honest the last few issues I got included in my subscription I didn't even open so I think it was time...

I also haven't been on here for a good while. I used to log in a couple of times a day at one point then just stopped for whatever reason.

I was walking my dog this morning and this forum came into my head so I thought I'd load it up today.

Definitely agree with non skippable cutscenes. I remember black on the ps2 is a massive culprit of this.

Re: Today

Today I popped down to see my Mum, who asked me to check a box of books she'd found in the loft since she didn't know if they were mine or my Dad's. Opened it and didn't recognise the top layer but thought I'd check underneath anyway - which duly revealed his stash of 1980's porn mags  A time...

Infinite Warfare online. I'm in the minority when I say I love it. It's not the best by a long chalk, but the amount of critism that's been levelled at it seems so unfair.

Re: The anti-what grinds your gears thread.

Spotify. Never really thought about a subscription music service but spent the summer working outdoors while in between jobs so had headphones in all day long 4 days a week and realised how good it is. I used to have a YouTube downloader on my phone so I could get music that way but just felt so fra...

Re: The anti-what grinds your gears thread.

I've got Home Alone 1 and 2 on the planner (and DVD, and VHS, and UMD) poised and ready. I haven't unleashed them yet, but when I do they'll be on every day!
