Re: Insert Coin: Inside Midway's '90s Revolution (Kickstarter)
What’s happened ? Not a scam is it ? What are the excuses for all this time ? No, I don't think it's a scam. It took a few years to get the film complete, but now they keep delaying as they want to release it at a film festival. Of course all of these festivals are currently cancelled so it faces a...

Re: Selling My Stuff - Advice Please
Are you going to any retro games shows (e.g. Revival)? If so you could arrange drop off with the buyer there to save both a chunk of cash

Re: Best demos for 8/16 bit systems
Second Reality by Future Crew was the DOS demo that set a new benchmark for PC demos in the early 90s. Put the PC on the map vs the Amiga.

Re: David Pleasance book Kickstarter
David Pleasance seems like an interesting guy, but definitely is the 1980s throwback of brash businessman, "yuppie", bragging about his successes (often individual success) and blaming failures on others. I definitely got a Lord Sugar vibe from his video. Spot on! Will buy this when it's out. The "...

Re: Retro PC gaming
My first computer was a 286 with CGA and an amber monitor! Dambusters, 1 on 1 and Tapper were the games it came with. Most friends weren't interested in DOS games until Doom came on the scene, but there were loads of good games prior to it. Anyway I wish they had figured out how to get 256...

It's a shame a magazine that knows all about collecting and that online services perhaps won't last forever, no longer offer physical digital copies, i.e. DVDs

Going Digital - replacing printed RG issues with DVD?
I've been reading and collecting Retro Gamer since issue 40, however, I'm running out of space to store them! So I've decided to sell a chunk of the early issues and hopefully replacing them with DVD emag versions. Can you still get hold of the DVDs? If not is my only option buying them from the Goo...

Really? I did one a few years ago for an OSX port (of a Windows product) and they never asked if work had been started. The Laird wrote:Kickstarter require at least a prototype/WIP to put anything on there, I know this very well as I am looking to launch one myself in a few months.
