255 is the maximum an 8-bit address can hold. Which Nick got...
No, I know that, but you can have all bits set to zero, so that gives you 256 different values. Anyway, either way, it's a great idea :)

I joked with Nick on Twitter about making issue 255 an 8-bit special...
Brilliant, although wouldn't it be Issue 256? Unless there was an Issue 0 I'm not aware of :)

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200

The comments by Ely on interviewing Matt Smith about a difficult time in his life are fair, though. As you can perhaps detect in the opening of that piece, I am honest at how uncomfortable I felt at times. I have known Matt since 2004 and been up to see him in Liverpool 7 times since then, sometime...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200

I've finished this issue now and I read every single article which I don't often do. Even the World of Warcraft article was interesting even though that's not a game I've ever played or even will frankly.

Great job guys. Looking forward to many more issues in the future.

Re: From The Forum Issue 201

Just to add to my post above, why Nintendo haven't developed a WarioWare game for iOS/Android I'll never know. The simple nature of it and the touch screen interface would seem perfect for it.

Re: From The Forum Issue 201

I can't choose between Wario Ware on the GB SP or Everybody's Golf on the PSP. Both came in very handy for passing time when traveling before I got a smart phone.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200

I love Matt Smith, Manic Miner & Jet Set Willy, but damn the article in this issue is a tough read. It really sounds like dragging this stuff up for his to talk about is detrimental to his mental health! I guess though it's tricky to capture the full extend of whether he was joking or not about cert...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200

If anyone posts on here that they don’t like the cover, then frankly I give up on Retro Gaming fans. It’s fantastic.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 198

Finally finished reading this issue last night. Major thing I learnt, Mavis Beacon isn't a real person. Being in the UK I just assumed she was a "name" associated with typing for some reason in the US.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 199

Just finished cover to cover. Thoroughly enjoyable issue. Sometimes the things that don’t appeal to me I’ll read regardless. Amstrad Action, never read the mag back in the day but would have always read a retrospective article about it. Yeah I'm the same, never read the magazine it but the article ...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 198

Just want to say I loved the articles on the Mini Mega Drive, M2 and Roller Coaster Tycoon in this issue. Especially the M2 one, never knew who they were until I read this.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 198

Got my subs copy yesterday. Looks like a good issue for me.

I'm liking the cover, has the budget gone up for them as both this months and last months seem to be of a higher quality than they used to be?

Re: Retro Gamer - issue 197

Love the Subs cover, it reminds me of an EDGE cover.

Haven't read it all yet, but the Making of Morpheus makes me want to read the Zzap 64 "Diary of a Game" for it. Always loved those back in the day (and even rereading them now).

Re: Retro Gamer Review Marks

Review scores are basically pointless. They only work if you are the intended audience for the game /genre in question really. I mean any new version of Street Fighter could get 5/5 or 100% and be hailed at the best fighting game ever, but as someone who's not a fan of fighting games I'm still not g...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 195

I'd like to clarify I wasn't bitching at all. Just expressing my opinion that if stickers were an no cost option I'd still not have them. Believe me RG is my favourite magazine so I'm buying it regardless.
