Re: From The Forum: 194

Burnout 3, purely because of the introduction of Takedowns. The Road Rage mode often helped me de-stress after a rubbish day at work. Pity they ruined the Crash Junctions by adding power-ups (and downs) :(

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 192

Yes. I've been writing it for the last 2 years. Over 150,000 words so far though it's not from the 1st chapter. It starts right at the beginning & illustrates how what did in our spare time as children changed when we got our 1st computers. The bulk of it covers 1984 to the early 90s and also cover...

I loved the Mark Jones article about his first few weeks at Ocean. More like this please!
Thanks for that. I'm chuffed to bits you liked it!
You should write a book about all your time there, I reckon people would buy that, I know I would. A lot of work though I guess?

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 192

All very good points. I think maybe there should at least be an option for Subscribers about whether they get one or the other. But it can’t be on a month by month basis as that’d be too much management.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 192

I buy the magazine for the content, the cover for me isn't that important. People seem to put far too much weight on it when in reality I can't imagine they actually spend that much time looking at it.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 191

I went from a Dragon 32 (December '82) to an Atari 130XE (with a Floppy Drive) (December '86), neither blunted my love for computers, gaming or the fact there were other more 'popular' machines available. I used to buy The One Amiga magazine even though I never owed an Amiga back in the day. I just ...

Yeah 15 quid is pretty good value isn't it. I'd love to know why the 6128 one is twice the price mind?!

Re: Questions for Stoo Cambridge

Issues are planned out in advance and then the writers get the Purchase Order for a set number of pages. In this case it was short notice that they needed an interview piece, I suggested Stoo and we just kept talking... Fair enough, from a business perspective it makes sense, just a shame lots of "...

It's In The Chair, so I only get six...
I'm always curious about why articles have a set number of pages. In instances like this where you have a lot of great content would there ever be a disscussion about getting extra pages and holding back another small article to another issue?
