Re: Random Game Selector
Also, if anyone can think of a non-emulated or FPGA system that has a “random game” option, that would interest me too. Such as a PS2 hard drive full of ISOs where the interface allows you to select a random game, as long as it uses real hardware or hardware emulation. I already have a software emul...

Random Game Selector
Hey guys, I’m trying to find out which flash carts (or similar) have a built-in “random game” selector, for when I’m feeling indecisive or want to stumble across a hidden gem. I’ve done some googling and the ones that are mentioned are GB/GBA, Mega Drive and maybe N64 too through everdrives. Can any...

Re: XRGB - anyone have any experience with this?
With PS2 it would be much more cost effective and nearly as good just to use a PS2 component cable, which can be purchased for not much money at all.

NEC PC-KD863G PC Engine RGB Monitor
So, I came across this on my daily Yahoo Auctions trawling, and I thought I'd share it in case some of you guys are interested in it. It's a first-party device by NEC which basically combines a PC Engine and a high quality RGB monitor - the only official way to get RGB from a PC Engine. It was rathe...

Re: Metroid Famicom Disk System Rarity?
Thank you for your reply Shadowman. I guess it must be a promotional item for the game then. It was the famicom disk system bit that threw me as, like you, I'm familiar with the fds box and game. I'll do a bit more research. And I'm glad you used to enjoy my top 10s. My latest obsession is trawling ...

I was contemplating adding the Vectrex, but that's not available without a monitor afaik, so I'll skip it for now

Re: TVs / Computers with Video Games Consoles Built In
Not sure whether to add the Bang & Olufsen Beocenter AV5 to the list as it has a CDi drive, though not sure whether it can play games - anyone familiar with this one?

TVs / Computers with Video Games Consoles Built In
Hi guys, Just wanted to create a list using your knowledge of TVs / Computers with consoles built in as it's something I'm contemplating collecting - this is what I've put together off the top of my head: Nintendo NES (NTSC/US) - Sharp Nintendo Television [19"] http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/825...

Amiga 1500 video output
Hi guys, I've just plugged in my Amiga 1500 after years of it been sat in my Dad's loft. I tried it with my Amiga RGB SCART cable that I use with my A1200, but I just got a really dark picture, and I also tried it with a composite cable and I got a black and white image. Tried an old CRT and also an...

Re: Overheat's Top 10 Auctions *updated weekly (or thereabou
Hey, sorry guys, I'm getting consistantly late with this aren't i? My excuse this week is that I started a new job today abd I've been preparing for that. The Retro Revival festival at the weekend also ate my free Sunday, but was well worth it. What a great day out. Anyway, I'll try and get a new on...

Re: Sega Pluto found
I saw the auction and presumed it was a fake with the seller having 0 feedback, but I guess the youtube vid adds some authenticity - interesting times. I am now attending Car Boot sales on a weekly basis
