Re: Retro Gamer 217. Capcom: An Arcade Legacy

I think I know why you got confused, as they posted the images in two batches on Facebook, but the the editorial says 7 are available at the newsstand and one is subscription only (as usual). Not that it makes a real difference to the crazyness of not offering a choice which one to get online. The l...

Re: Awesome Cover on the latest Retro Gamer well done Team

And I said the covers are nice, didn't I?

But I get it. You're one of the annointed lucky ones who get their copy just fine and everyone else should go away.

Re: Awesome Cover on the latest Retro Gamer well done Team

Care to explain where I'm bashing the magazine in that post?

Also feel free to explain how getting all covers will be achievable given the circumstances.

Re: Awesome Cover on the latest Retro Gamer well done Team

So I just saw the Facebook post with a few of the covers that indeed do look nice and kept thinking how anyone would ever get all of them together. Buying them in real-life stores probably will be near-impossible expect maybe when you search through all of London, and ordering them from Magazines Di...

Re: Tracking lateness

Hopefully an admin can bring this to the company attention for comment here, Please? This won't happen. I think the last time anyone employed at RG/Future blessed us with their presence here, it was made quite clear that nobody including editorial staff cares about the forum at all anymore, and the...

Re: Tracking lateness

Future cannot pretend this is a Covid issue. People have been flagging this long before the last 12 months. Actually delivery to mainland Europe has been terrible pretty much ever since Retro Gamer moved over to Future, long before they paused delivery and after that break, it has more or less resu...

Re: MyFavouriteMagazines is gone

I just don't understand how their service and processes have gone from excellent to just abysmal with the name change. I have to seriously consider whether I will bother again. I've lost faith in their ability to provide the service tbh. I honestly never would have associated the word "excellent" w...

Re: MyFavouriteMagazines is gone

***Edited add on- after saying I would start a case with PayPal, they contacted again to ask me to provide proof of my subscription purchase (didn't even have that bit correct), and they could refund me. I told them not to bother, PayPal had done it for them. They really, really need to sort their ...

Re: Retro Gamer 216

I wouldn't mind the blueprints as well as all the other, usually really ugly subscribers covers a little less if the issue number would be visible anywhere in a way that I can easily find and read it. Yes, I know it's on the spine, but in a really tiny size and with a white font which sometimes is o...

Its all ok guys, they sent an email saying issue 215 is on its way, and service is back to normal. Somehow I dont believe them
I'm sure that Brexit thing won't screw up deliveries to most of Europe even more than before, definitely not. Sure.

Re: Tracking lateness

Oh, I'm pretty certain that's a message meant to international subscribers indeed. The wording and content doesn't really make a lot of sense otherwise and especially for people located inside the UK since the new issue already has been arriving for them on Monday/Tuesday already (as can be seen in ...

Re: Tracking lateness

First time in forever (I think the last one was in April or May, definitely long before they shut down the old site) I actually received an email from the subs department: "In light of the evolving situation surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic in the United Kingdom, we wish to share with you the la...

Good luck with cancelling: "If your subscription has a minimum term of 12 months, you can only cancel your subscription at the end of this term. At the end of this minimum term, and for any subscription that does not have a minimum term, you can cancel by logging in and following the onscreen links....

Re: Tracking lateness

#213 arrived today in my part of Germany.

Yes, the issue that went on sales exactly 6 weeks ago.

Might be a new (negative) record, but by now, I probably can count myself lucky that Future managed to deliver it at all.

Re: Tracking lateness

213 out of stock ok, so no way to request replacement for subscribers still waiting... I've noticed that as well and I seem to recall it was the same with 212, though that one is now listed as available - completely useless service to no surprise, sad as it is. I actually do expect my copy will sti...
