Re: Tracking lateness

Still waiting for Issue 199. Has anybody already received this issue here in Germany, so that I can consider my copy as lost. Arrived on the 6th for me here in Bavaria, I'm told Hamburg got it a week earlier and some people had it apparently one or two weeks before that. So wherever you are, it's n...

Re: Tracking lateness

Once again, #198 still hasn't arrived here in Germany - and why should it, after all it has only been a little over three weeeks from the store date. But for the first time since forever, I got a "Your copy of Retro Gamer is on its way!" email today for #199 - this feels like adding insult to injury...

Re: Tracking lateness

So, just almost five weeks after the store date, issue 195 has indeed arrived on Southern Germany (Bavaria, to be exact). I'm told some people in the North got theirs Tuesday last week. Would be intersting to know why there's now so much difference in the same country as well. Anyway, back to absurd...

Re: Tracking lateness

Nope, no sign of 195 here in Bavaria. Clearly they have to compensate for the last few issues actually arriving fast for once. Predicting delivery times from Future magazines is like playing the lottery - my last three issues of Edge took 7 weeks (!), 2 days (!) and 2 weeks with no change in the rou...

Re: Tracking lateness

That reminds me: #194 arrived here last Friday - so just one day after the UK store date. Which is so entirely unlike everything before that I don't quite know what how to think about it and I'm very sceptical that it'll ever happen again. You have to wonder how it's possible to show up so fast - ev...

Re: Tracking lateness

Not entirely RG related, but since it's Future, it still kind of is... RG #193 arrived in my corner of Germany after 8 days or so, which was quite a suprise given that the previous issues usually took something between 3 to 5 weels. And right a day after that, the current issue of Edge (#332) arrive...

Re: Tracking lateness

14 days from UK sale date for an overseas sub to arrive  No wonder they don't want to come on the forum. That’s not too bad. I used to subscribe to an American football magazine from the US. Used to take longer to arrive than that frustrating I know You're missing the point (which is also made...

Re: Subs Department Epic Failure

I've got a personalized postcard informing me that my subscription is about to end. That is like a joke really. Before that there was a sealed mail with roughly the same information. I bet both of those took a couple of weeks to arrive and yet here I am still waiting for 188 and 191 to materialize....

Re: Subs Department Epic Failure

Let me be positive here for once: I got mail back from subs. After a follow-up mail they finally got that my two subs weren't linked, and they fixed it. I now see all on the same account. So I renew RG. And I'm on a "Europe" delivery, not a rest of world as I thought. Second, when using the link in...

Re: Subscription help

What good is a subscription if the issues do not arrive? I've said before that I'll gladly pay MORE for my subscription if a reliable and fast shipping service is being used. Amen to that :!: Based on the fact that my Edge subscription always is arriving significantly faster and even more so in the...

Re: Tracking lateness

Please be aware that it is no longer possible for anyone in subscriptions to speak directly on the forum. And nothing of value was lost. In the very early days when Mark was sometimes around, he actually gave off the impression to honestly trying to help. But since he left and subscribers weren't e...

Re: Tracking lateness

For the second time in a row my subscription copy of Edge has managed to arrive within about a week (well, 8 days this time, it was 6 last month). While the last two issues of Retro Gamer took over 5 weeks each and the current one is - of course - still nowhere to be seen. So whatever it is that Fut...

Re: Tracking lateness

So surprisingly my issue 190 decided to arrive after all on Monday, so it just took five and a half weeks and even more intererstinglich, clos to two weeks longer than some other parts of Germany - is this some sort of routing lottery nowadays? To prevent even more frustriation, because clearly issu...

Re: Tracking lateness

Update: Just received my replacement-copy of 189 which as shipped Feb, 11th today (Feb 20th). Apparantly this was shipped through Switzerland. Huh... 9 days is almost okay, I'd take that for sure. My replacement copy shipped on January 31st and arrived yesterday (February 22nd), with the labels sug...

Re: Tracking lateness

So issue 190 is as of now coming up to 3 weeks and of course still MIA. But since 189 took a whole 5 weeks and 1 day to reach me, well... You'd think that Future now using a German re-mailer route should speed things up for German subscribers at least, but clearly that's not the case so far and actu...
