Re: Do you have a spine?
I used to be quite a stickler for spine cards, then I bloody well grew up. Spending what is sometimes a considerably large amount of extra money on a thin piece of card, which without fail I immediately tuck inside the manual never ever to be seen again by myself or anyone else, is the most utterly ...

Re: A reasonable price for Panzer Dragoon Saga?
I've played every Saturn game I've purchased, but if you're a player-collector like myself you will eventually get to the point where the stupidly expensive, diabolically sh!te games are all you have left to go for on that particular system. I used to be a big PSX collector a few years back but it's...

Re: A reasonable price for Panzer Dragoon Saga?
Oh! The holy grail of Saturn collecting. It's really not ;) Well, I'm not very knowledgeable in the fine art of Jap Saturn collecting but so I've read. What would it be then? Daytona USA Netlink Edition has become very hard to get hold of, and when it does appear you're now talking $800-$1200 (was ...

Re: Saturn Emulation?
The current version of SSF is very stable and has very high compatibility. However you will struggle to run anything full speed on a single core processor. The recommended System requirements for SSF Ver0.11 alpha R5 from the developer are: OS: Windows XP/Vista/7 32 or 64 bit CPU: Intel Core i7, Int...

Re: A reasonable price for Panzer Dragoon Saga?
£85 for a second hand game??? These collectors are crazy £85 is pretty cheap for PD Saga, especially if it has the outer card box. Gamestation in Nottingham had a copy in 2 or 3 years ago for £100 without the outer card box. It's not a rare game though, just very sought after. For actually rare Sat...

I'm pretty sure Xmas '89 was the year I got my Amiga 500, finally replacing my ailing Acorn and C64.

Harukaze Sentai V-Force on the Saturn, some pretty nice turn based strategy/rpg gameplay intercut with anime scenes, shame about the horribly repetitive music though.

Re: Great Retro-gaming websites - the sticky thread!
Not sure if this has already been mentioned but a while ago Dave Z put sega-saturn.com back online. It's only really an archive, but it's great reading through some of the stuff there, especially the mid-90's news updates about Sega releases, some of them make you want to sob. Check it out: www.sega...
