You know what we don't have - and this thread proves it? Websites or even threads (it seems) that cover the early PC games from the CGA to EGA to VGA PC games, say from the late 80's to the mid/late 90's!.... and yet no one covers it! Unless you can prove me wrong....!!! :) Ok, http://www.oldskool....

Based on reactions here. I won't be back to this forum, so start your own PC retro page on this site and maybe, just maybe, i'll come back.

I stayed with 8 bit (Commodore 64) until PC got EGA, which was 16 colours, before that was CGA which only had 4. EGA made PC games look like Commodore 64 games without the long loading times of the C-64 floppy. Some games I still got on C64, ie Red Storm Rising. Others I got on PC, i.e. the Buck Rog...

Re: Where's the bloody PC in all this?!!!!!!

It one thing to have a forum where you or I mention it, it's another for a website to cover PC retro gaming. Frankly, I have no trouble finding forums and sites about retro PC games. Most of us are employing PCs right now to visit this forum, fcol. The only thing I can suggest is that you hone your...

Re: Where's the bloody PC in all this?!!!!!!

Go onto the web, google retro gaming websites, and see if you can find just one...about PC gaming. This is one right here! Retro Gamer forum The online community for classic games and hardware I don't see anything that precludes PC games. Use your initiative like I did by simply including reference...

Re: Where's the bloody PC in all this?!!!!!!

If, under 16 bit (or anywhere for that matter!) the PC was bloody mentioned I would have voted for that era... Where's your initiative! No discussion about Retro games is noteworthy without PC games. Go onto the web, google retro gaming websites, and see if you can find just one that gives P...

PC gaming sucks, always has done always will do. But you could have voted for the particular era you thought the PC was top dog, it spans just about every single one so I don't see where the problem is. You are under 21 and do not know what you are talking about. And if the PC isn't listed, b...

Where's the bloody PC in all this?!!!!!!

If, under 16 bit (or anywhere for that matter!) the PC was bloody mentioned I would have voted for that era. But because, as so often is the case now, the PC is not considered when talking retro, despite being around as a gaming machine for 20 years! Like many gamers, I went from C64 to Amiga to PC....

Firstly, can I have the third vote for Shadow of the Horned Rat, and also the follow up, Dark Omen? Secondly, I agree with zoidstar, that for the premier league of RPG's you do have to look to the PC with the titles he gave, especially, for a 15 year old game, Microprose's Darklands. There is such a...

You can tell by all the links being given that there do not seem to be any sites dealing with retro PC gaming, when people tralk of 'retro machines' they do not mean 386 PC's or the DOS O/S, they mean MSX or Spectrum or C64. Hundreds, if not thousands of great games were released on PC between 1990 ...
