MEMOIRS OF A VIRTUAL CAVEMAN -- comng July 15, 2014!

I hope this is the appropriate forum to post this at. I figured it might since the book is based all around retro gaming. Mods, if you feel it belongs moreso in Off Topic, feel free to move it. Well folks, we're on the EVE of the release of Memoirs of a Virtual Caveman. It's a 472 page long (!) memo...

haha true huh. I suppose it does go both ways. People in the UK wanna see what they wanna see. And people in the US wanna see what they wanna see.

We'll see! (har har)

Re: Super Everdrive multi-cart (and alternatives)

I don't have one but I hear the ED is solid. I do have a PowerPak though, despite already owning the real games. It's just super convenient if you wanna haul it over to a bud's place or your parents'. You don't have to bring 10-15 games with ya!

Re: The one game you love that noone seems to have heard of

BS Out of Bounds Golf for the SNES. In a nutshell: a deviously delicious 4-player mini-golf game that can see you sabotaging the competition by knocking their ball out of bounds. If that isn't grounds for an epic competitive video game, I don't know what is. It was never officially released on cartr...

successfully via Kickstarter? It brings back into the fold various gaming journalists over 3 decades, including the original Sushi-X (IIRC) and Ed freaking Semrad. Just wondering if anyone here funded the project or just... what are your thoughts and opinion on an alternative print magazine focusing...

BS Kaizou Choujin Shubibinman Zero review http://www.rvgfanatic.com/mediac/400_0/media/DIR_1787299/f23d337e3c458d7ffff836da00140f.JPG Very cool little game that mixes in elements from the platforming and beat 'em up genres quite nicely and seamlessly. There are also some moves that will remind you ...

Happy "(It's-a-) Me-Mario Day" weekend!

http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o139/SFCGamer/SMW-31C.jpg Greetings all! It's been a while but I'm back with SNES review #54, and what a fine game it is, too. Of course, I'm talking about the one that started it all (way back on November 21, 1990!). In my review you will find personal confession...

Re: your favourite magazines growing up?

Being in the US I didn't get Super Play or Sega Saturn Magazine (my top 2 favorites today).

So I grew up loving GameFan and EGM. Still got the early to mid 90s issues today, and once in a blue moon I flip through them. Still fun and good stuff, I say.

Re: Super Nintendo collecting thread.

Is Stone Protectors any good, it looks like Turtles in Time but I imagine it doesn't play as well as the Konami game? I remember the Cartoon series of it as well.. I do have a Japanese Batman Returns not to keen on that game for some reason It's adequate. About a 6 to 6.5 out of 10 game IMO. Won't ...

Re: Super Nintendo collecting thread.

Also what was that scrolling beat em up with the three female characters you sold me called? One of my favourite Snes and a scrolling beat em up I've not heard off Sounds like Battle Zeque Den. I'm sorta surprised you would call that game a favorite, as I see it as average at best. But who am I to ...

Re: Super Nintendo collecting thread.

I'm sorry, $500?! Are you mental? I've heard that before many times :P In all seriousness, a mint CIB copy sold for $1,500 not long ago. Another guy also told me he paid more for the box than what I did. It sounds crazy, but it's such a rare box and I've had PLENTY of bargains in the past.....

Re: Super Nintendo collecting thread.

^ Another vote for Goof Troop. I played it about two years back, but recently played it with my cousin. Quite good times with a buddy in tow as you can double up on the baddies and work together to solve the puzzles. Note that a few of them late in the game can get rather difficult. It is a very sh...
