3 Weeks in Paradise - great music (for a speccy). 3 Weeks In Paradise was the one I was going to choose. I had it for the Amstrad CPC and it was the first game I ever completed with no (or at least very little) assistance from pokes or walkthroughs. I actually preferred it to Herberts Dummy Run - p...

No mention yet of Computing with the Amstrad? That and Amstrad Action were the magazines of choice for the discerning CPC user back in the 80s. I occasionally bought ACU too but felt the layout was clumsy and the proofreading often poor. Later on, with the arrival of my new toy (an Amiga 500+), I st...

Computing with the Amstrad CPC gave nearly every Infocom game 100% in across the board (with the exception being, for some reason, Lurking Horror). They are wonderfully atmospheric but often quite difficult to solve. My favourite classic text adventure is a CRL game (The Very Big Cave Adventure), bu...

Apparently, Marathon became Snickers 17 years ago (in 1990). Thanks Wikipedia for the info

I know, I didn't realise it had been that long either. Now I do feel old.

Roland doesn't feel the need to resort to violence - he's above that sort of behaviour.felgekarp wrote:No, I don't. Give me Cuthbert any day, Cuthbert could kick Rolands arsewoody.cool wrote:You don't like Roland in Time ???

Re: Reader reviews
I agree with MattC on this one, me being a CPC fan (and a Roland fan) - but personally I'd review 'Roland In Time' and redress that as one of the greatest games of all time instead :D Yes! Get ready, people, the great Roland re-evaluation has started! Finally, the games will get the respect they de...

Most sellers do wait until you've given them feedback. Its a bit annoying but I guess there is also so real ass hole buyers out there too which maybe why. alternatively it stinks a bit on not having any confidence in what they're selling........ I have to admit that I have in the past sold stuff an...

There was, however, a fairly business like Japanese man permanently attached to the 'Gran Turismo' cabinet. It occurred to me, that I have seen pictures of GT setups like that one in numerous magazines such as Edge always with a suited Japanese man occupying the driving seat. I conclude that such c...
