Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread

Keep in mind a lot of those will be Japan only VN games, or just really strange stuff (trust me on that one, I have like 4 Mahjong games on the platform at least). I think I read a stat that there are around 100 odd limited release games at least for Vita, or will be by end of life. Granted I don't ...

Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread

I feel like I should buy a 4th Vita since they are stopping production in Japan. I have been getting back into Vita playing lately, I started my copy of Salt and Sanctuary this week, already glued to it, its a really good action RPG (2D Souls basically). I can see me playing this one for a long time...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Quite a decent sale on several games on the Switch currently. Finally picked up the spiritual successor to Super Meat Boy (The End is Nigh) and it seems pretty good so far. I've mainly been focusing on The Messenger this last week. Finished the game and unlocked the hidden weapon. Really enjoyed it,...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Finished the Claire A/Leon B run on RE2 this week. Loved it, definitely lived up to my expectations on what I wanted a remake of RE2 to be. Now to do my Leon A/Claire B run. Also put in some more hours and finished the story on Sega's Judge Eyes (Judgment) which again was fantastic, its not a Yakuza...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

TSA is an odd one for me. Sounds like I might enjoy it but the gameplay does look a tad repetitive and the reviews are all over the place. I'll wait a bit on that one I think. Meanwhile I've been playing New Super Mario Bros U which I'm really liking. I liked the Wii U port but this has the advantag...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Mainly playing Judge Eyes on the PS4. 4 chapters down and the story has really stepped up. Really great stuff, so nice having a Yakuza ish game that feels a bit more fresh thanks to some gameplay changes. Aside from that I've also been playing New SMB U on the Switch and various Capcom games on the ...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

What are your thoughts on Megaman 11 and Battke Princess Madelyn? The reviews I read of Madyln said its a Metroidvania game with no signposting make it soul crushingly hard. And that the extra arcade game was what Madelyn should have been, an old school ghouls and ghosts that was most importantly f...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Picked up the 'After Hours' limited edition of Yakuza 6 from Amazon. They had it for £50-something (reduced) and I had a £20 voucher so it was around £35 in the end. Very pleased with that. Nice set which even comes with a pair of bar glasses. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/918dtK...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Well Mum bought me a Switch for Christmas and I had Namco Museum, SNK Classics and Snk Heroines as presents from family. I bought Night Slashers and want to buy a few download games but unsure what. Thinking Katamari Damacy and Ninja Warriors again again. But could anybody recommend any similar jap...

Original http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/11/out_run_is_the_next_sega_ages_title_racing_onto_the_switch_eshop Nice to see a re-release of OutRun, even though the music is remixed and the car model is changed up (understandable, they aren't gonna splash the cash for the Ferrari license). Wish t...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Outrun is out on the Japanese eshop. I grabbed it on Thursday and am loving it. Looks and plays great in handheld mode, 60FPS feels wonderful (first time playing the 60FPS version), and the unlockable car upgrades are a nice difficulty modifier. I can see me playing loads of this in the coming months.

Should have my copy arrive in a couple of days. Really looking forward to it, loved the Amiga port back in the day.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Been playing Urban Reign on PS2. Surprisingly challenging and doesn't follow a typical beat 'em up structure as I expected. Also it takes 30 missions before any sort of story cutscene and before you get to use two characters for team-up special moves. Multiplayer for the story mode is also off-limi...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Yeah, Dead Cells is ace. The procedural generation works fine and the rogue lite nature of it keeps pushing me forward. Its tough, but fun with a great combat system. I'll have to get back to it later, because I finally started Hollow Knight now and I'm loving it! Lastly, I grabbed Resident Evil Rev...
