Re: Where are they now?

Discord is where its at for conversation these days, at least for me - since I'm basically only interested in talking about Yakuza (the series, not the criminal organisation) these days. Oh, and I play far more games, so I post far less (aka I'm too lazy to post more)

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50681920771_ba48a7b25c_c.jpg Egg and Super Mario Bros Crystal Screen (finally) arrived this week. I'm now just short two boxed Game and Watch handhelds for a full collection. Egg is probably the rarest of the rare in terms of G&W releases - or at least its up the...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax Aka Waifu fighter............ Its one of those memorise a ton of button combos to win style fighters, all style with no fun The scene didn't die because of DLC/scandals, it was damage output/gems. Basically the damage output sucked initially... most matches ended in t...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I also tried playing Street fighter X Tekken Its ok, but I cant seem to do supers The worst thing about the game was the scandalous DLC that was touted as "new" but actually found (by hackers) to have been on the disc from day 1. It was all free on the Vita version though! (at the time at least...)...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Good to hear Miku has some options for button mapping (and the universal mapping is a good idea as well). I'll have to give the demo another shot in that case. Meanwhile, I've been putting some time into the second retro styled Bloodstained game. It definitely feels a bit harder than the first one, ...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Grabbed the platinum trophy on Cuphead. Loved it, having already done it on Xbox and Switch, it was a pretty easy going plat really. Can't wait to get the DLC boss fights as and when they release.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 210

The Mega Man article was really interesting, I still vividly remember paying what I felt was a lot for my PAL X3 back in the day and now its going for £1100... Likewise stuff like Wily Wars has ballooned in price over the years, I feel so lucky to have gotten the games boxed and complete back in the...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Spent a good 150 hours 100%ing Yakuza Kenzan. Its probably the toughest of the 100%s in the series to be honest... with every subsequent game getting easier and easier (especially after 3, the series gets hilariously easy). Clearing some of the mini games this time round was actually challenging, th...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Panzer Paladin really is very good, only run through the one level so far (Scotland) but I’m having a good time. It seems the game does throw weapons at you like candy! It would be nice to have a proper description of the spells, unless I’m missing that in the menus somewhere, things like Heal are ...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Has anyone tried out Panzer Paladin ? I’m kind of in the mood for more retro platforming. It looks pretty solid Got it today, its pretty clever. Feels like a mix of games - You can get out of the mech like in Blaster Master, your little character has a whip and can swing around (Castlevania), the j...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Shenmue 3 on the PS4. After the QTE hell of Shenmue 2 this is a lot more relaxing. I'm only a couple of hours in but so far I've chopped a lot of wood, bought too many capsules from vending machines and done a lot of Kung Fu training. I need to chop more wood to get more money since I've locked mys...

Re: The XBOX ONE / PS4 discussion thread

Wonder if anything will come of people wanting Kiryu in Tekken 7 Here's hoping. Though Geese was arguably a better choice (and I love Yakuza!), but I'm absolutely diving into T7 when Geese is released. Speaking of Yakuza though, the Taiwan PSN store kinda spoiled a surprise for the Yakuza Team even...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Working through Deadly Premonition on the Switch. Aside from the couple of crashes and way some of the side stories trigger, I'm loving replaying it. Its an odd, janky game with a great cast of characters. Looking forward to the sequel this week.

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Astro Bot-PSVR- censored me! What a game. It's inventive, whimsical and just downright Joyful. Each world gets more and more inventive with its design and bosses. Definitely the best game I've played in VR. Amazing stuff. I just finished this as well, will get the plat as well as its fairly easy. S...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

I found most of the SOR2 cast way more useless as they lacked the speed from 3's, the moves from 4's or the damage from 1's characters. Max is a bit of a beast though. I've found that you can utterly spam his dashing special move on the Easy mode (since it doesn't drain too much energy) and wipe ou...
