Re: What are you currently playing?

I've completed the world tour of Sonic All-Stars Transformed on hard, but there's still two events locked behind a 200 star gate, which would mean completing all events on expert. I don't think I have the patience for that, the skill-based events are fine, but the races have even dirtier AI than MK...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Only game showed in the Switch Direct that disappointed me was that butt ugly new Contra game. No idea why it looks so damn bad, Capcom managed to bring Mega Man back with a nice graphical style yet Contra looks so bad, reminds me of those bad PSOne Contra games back in the day. That said, since the...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Been hammering away at my Switch backlog some more, been playing Gunlord X over the weekend - its basically Turrican 4 in all but name. And its darn good. Enormous levels, excellent soundtrack and the difficulty is on point. I'm really enjoying myself. Well worth getting if your a fan of Turrican. A...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Team Sonic Racing. The team mechanic doesn't ruin the game like I initially expected it to. Its really fun, I still prefer Sumo's last Sega racer to this, but this is darn good in its own right and its not as if I can be picky over arcade racers these days...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

In the mean time, I've been playing Katana Zero, which is a fantastic side scrolling action indie game. Surprisingly great story as well. Definitely worth getting. This is 25% off at the moment, I may have to get it, anybody else recommend? Its also getting a free update this month to add more cont...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Resident Evil 0, 1 and 4 for the Switch, along with Dragons Dogma for the Switch. Didn't originally intend to get every Capcom Switch game, it just sorta happened. Don't regret it though, a number of them really do play rather nicely in handheld mode, portable RE4 is a blast.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Had a Capcom day yesterday, playing through Final Fight 2 and Mighty Final Fight. I still can't understand what happened to FF2. Its just bland. Not bad, it does nothing wrong, it just feels dated. Not even comparing it to SoR2 (which is way better), look at Capcom's other '93 brawlers - Cadillacs a...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Kunio Kun Collection Haven't seen this one, what's on it? Waiting to see what's on the Contra collection, as again, I already own Contra on X360/PS4, Super on X360, and III on SNES Mini, so the other four will have to be decent to make it a worthwhile purchase. I'd guess at the MD game taking up a ...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Picked up a few more releases this week, really liking just how much retro content I can get for the Switch right now! Darius Collection, Kunio Kun Collection (was gonna pass on this but the improvements made to the performance of some games was too good to pass up), Konami Arcade & Castlevania Coll...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Im down for buying DMC again (4th/5th time?). I love these Switch ports, will be getting the Resident Evil ones at the end of the month.

In the mean time, I've been playing Katana Zero, which is a fantastic side scrolling action indie game. Surprisingly great story as well. Definitely worth getting.

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

102 hours later, Yakuza 4 complete (100% completion). Loved it. Some silly plot issues here and there but its yet another strong Yakuza game. Now to take a break until June where two more Yakuza games are released. Can't wait!

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Yeah, the port is insane in terms of detail. I loved what M2 has been doing with these ports, ended up getting all the 3DS games as well while I wait for Shinobi and GLOC!

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Virtua Racing is ace. I've been dipping into it this week, unlike the arcade original its 60FPS, looks amazing on the handheld screen. I've kinda gone on a mini spending spree (again) with Switch this week, getting Virtua Racing, Cuphead, Katana Zero, Konami Arcade Collection (the Japanese one, with...

Re: Collecting ideas

I actually collect Capcom games. Basically going for all console releases, and I'm a fair way to that goal. But the one big issue, especially these days - cost. I got lucky and grabbed the Mega Man games before they shot up in price - Mega Man X3 for the Snes (PAL), Mega Man the Wily Wars (any regio...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I personally found CV4 one of the easier/less hard ones. Its fairly designed in my experience so while its not a push over, it doesn't have any points where the game really blocks your progress hard. Only points I think where it really ramps up is the final couple of stages but I think the game chec...
