Leonardo DiCaprio to play Nolan Bushnell

Sorry if it's a bit off topic, but all the movie threads seem to end up here. Besides, Retro Gamer should run an article about this upcoming movie *

None of the Model 2 arcade games are close to playable in MAME yet. There is a pretty decent PC port though.

Do you guys get G4 (formerly Tech TV) in the UK? Surely on Sky?

G4 premiered this about a week ago and has been re-running it since. Funniest documentary since Trekkies.

http://www.retrogamer.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8684&start=210 I dunno what the Wii or PSP versions are like, but the PS2 version is very disappointing. Most of the games feature a nasty automatic frameskip and heavy slowdown, but Burning Fight, Neo Turf Masters, Baseball Stars 2, Fatal Fury, Metal...

The original Super Mario Bros. spawned numerous lies, due to the fact that it was one of the first games that anyone I knew ever played that could (and in fact, did) contain many secrets. The idea of a scrolling, varied, multi-level game opened up a world of possibilities.. and fibs. I heard tales o...

It's a picture of a Streetfighter Anniversary Controller for the PS2. The same ones which are horrid for the Xbox (they look the business tho), I think I might have heard the PS2 one's are slightly superior? Horrid? I've never used the X-box one, but the Playstation one works great for me. The d-pa...

On the subject of emulation, the emu scene and the game companies hurt each other and help each other on several different levels. Basically game companies hate emulators because they cut into their ability to sell classic compilations and downloadable classics. Classics packs, even if you like them...

N64 - Super Mario World I think maybe you mean Super Mario 64? Unix (!) - Hack - a quality Multi player Gauntlet type game on our uni network where if you died all your potions turned into the negative of what they were before and others could pick them up for good or bad outcomes. http://en.wikipe...

When I said the "Evil Dead" movies I was really thinking of the first two. Army Of Darkness isn't really "Evil Dead 3", and the three movies don't really stand as a trilogy. It's more like a movie, then a remake/parody of that movie, then a spin-off.

The entire last issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (the one with Splatterhouse on the cover) was retro-themed and focused primarily on the large number of remakes on the horizon.

It's actually a pretty good read, which is surprising because EGM has been sliding downhill for quite awhile now.
