Re: Shooting Gallery Games Recommendations

West Bank/Bank Panic for home computer/arcade is a fantastically addictive game, although it's all about reactions than aiming.

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Jumanji - Welcome to the Jungle. After an uncertain start, Dwayne Johnson has cut out a great niche for himself with action movies that never take themselves TOO seriously. This is another brilliantly entertaining movies, and (imho) far superior to the original film.

Re: PC Classic - new games console based on PC

Would be great to have a mini PC with a PROPER, mega-easy to use front end. I mean one where you have a list of about the top 5000 PC games and it automatically configures EVERYTHING. So one 'click' on an icon for, say , Ecstatica, amd if you have the game on your HD it just works. No choosing sound...

Re: Saboteur on Nintendo Switch

Saboteur was a good fame back in the day, and Durrell made some good, solid games for the Speccy. Personally I always preferred the original to the sequel as it was relatively short and completable. Yeah the sequel could be, but not as much fun, plus maybe the novelty of the original had worn off a ...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Just been to see Overlord in the cinema, definitely lives up to the epic trailer!!! When I sat watching the trailer for Overlord in the cinema, I fully expected it to be a movie translation of Wolfenstein; I was shocked when it wasn't. Is there any link between the movie and the game, as it was sur...

Re: Where did you get yours?

My brother had a 16k ZX Spectrum which I believe was bought in The Micro Shop in Great Yarmouth. He later had it upgraded to 48k at the same place. I believe my C64 came from Comet. They used to have some pretty good deals. My NES (TMNT edition!) came from either Dixons or Comet I think. My Gameboy...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

Would CrashTR really cost that much? And the potential to bring more fans to the series. Perhaps they are embarrassed by how basic they look by today's standards. Either way, those who really want to play them will hack the machine, so why not earn a few quid and keep in Sony's good books. You HAVE ...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

What's THE game that put the PS 1 on the map? The one game that helped to kick-start the 'casual gamer scene' and blurred the lines between video games and pop culture? The game that brought the video game console back in to the living room? The one game - above all others - that defined the PS1 and...

Re: Five Celebritys Id Like To See Appear In Video Games

Decent voice actors are always welcome. Off the top of my head Paul Darrow, Tom Baker, Bruce Campbell, Jon Pertwee, Tony Robinson and Eric Idle have all done voice acting for videogames. It really does make a difference; the new Monkey Island games put me off for the voice acting.

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

Some games that probably cost Sony next to nothing to acquire, plus a number of 'first in the series' games to tempt people to get later titles. Major surprises for me are lack of Crash and Tomb Raider, and a real shame RE2, Parrappa and no footy game. As for Sony bringing out more mini consoles wit...

Re: N64 mini pix leaked

Sadly, it won't be complete without Goldeneye & Perfect Dark in my opinion. Would they even play that well? Goldeneye is pretty rough to play these days, or is that just down to the original hardware? Perfect Dark got a "HD remaster" on Xbox 360 (also included in Rare Collection for XBO) and it loo...

Re: N64 mini pix leaked

Be very surprised if it's genuine. Mini GB for next year, then N64 year after that. Nintendo don't need to pay a third party publisher that they have no affiliation with to put any of their games on it. Half a dozen Rare titles (probably Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Blast Corps, Banjo Kazooie, Jet Force...
