Re: Rally Speedway article in 111
No conspiracy - said article is a retrorevival (a nostalgic look back at a memorable game), the C64 version is the one I played so it's the version I wrote about.

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 110 Official Feedback
But what I want to know is, what game are the monochrome sprites on the third page from? They don't seem to match any of the games. Is it from the Speccy version of the Official Father Christmas game? The reindeer certainly looks like a better sprite than any of the games actually listed. Close, th...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 109 Official Feedback
@ gman – on the other point you raised… You’re absolutely right, but isn’t the 3D chase section a boss battle not a stage? The actual level is side-scrolling. I would have to play it again though to be sure though. The point I was making (badly) there was that there are no top-down or over-the-shou...

Lode Runner box
Hi guys, does anyone have a copy of Lode Runner on the C64 they can loan us? We’re looking at putting it forward as a possible cover option, and need a hi-res scan - ideally with as few stickers/marks on it as possible.
Cheers
Stuart

Re: New Vs. Old-Super Mario Bros. 2 Vs. New Super Mario Bros
I agree, the dream setting, ability to create different subspaces in the dream world, having multiple characters working together, and a weird fascination with turnips*, SMB2 is the Inception of the Mario series.

Re: Hot Topic - Best Street Fighter
I thought Alpha was an excellent entry. Loved the setting, the look, the Final Fight crossover and the dramatic battle mode. It was also the sequel that reignited my interest in the franchise after all the SFII milking.
You can’t beat the brilliance and impact of SFII though, so it gets my vote.
