Re: Tomorrow's Harvest
hell yeah - love this album. even more so that it seemed to come out of nowhere. Unlike a certain french duo who also came back this year, BoC just quietly got on with it, and they delivered the goods. Not quite as good as MHTRTC (what can be), but certainly a step up from campfire. on a slight asid...

Re: Windows XP installation help
Cheers all. All this advice has now opened up other options of what to do, many thanks. Gonna try the slipstream option using nLite as this seems pretty straight forward. Getting the driver for the HD though was a major ball ache - google is full of so many rabbit holes now, and everything assumes t...

Windows XP installation help
Hi guys, Looking for some help here. I have been asked by a friend to re-install Windows XP on their HP Media Center machine. Previously someone attempted to install Windows 7 as part of a duel boot, and completely ballsed up. The hard drive was reformatted, so should be completely clean (it still h...

Retro Magazine
Ok, so i may have sort of inroads to 'suggest' ideas to a publisher. I think there is mileage in a magazine that covers all elements of 'retro', called 'Old Tat' - covering gaming, music, films, books, comics etc.... i am surprised that there isnt one - BUT, if there is, could someone mention it bef...

Re: GAMES X Magazine Weekly (May 1991 - April 1992)
what about getting in touch with certain websites like 'Out Of Print' - they have some old mags scanned for posterity. I dont think there would be much of a 'legal issue' really as there is no profit being made now from the name of 'Games X'. Basically, i just want to have access to ever single issu...

Has there been any resolution for this? i have only just become active on the board again, and all my notifications are going into 'junk' being marked as suspicious. Most annoying

Re: Appalling games you enjoy.....
Ahhhh, the music to Super Thunderblade - another game i play because i just like the music. There is something about that certain type of Sega music - those early MD games, the music was fantastic - each instrument i found was clear and had nice separation. Eswat is another, as well as the music on ...

Re: Best graphics of the 8 and 16 bit generation
I am more impressed by smooth animation over 'graphics'. But during the 8 bit era, for me, has to be Thanatos on the Speccy. How they were able to get a sprite that size to animate like that, as well as having a pretty neat game underneath all for 48k is beyond me. In terms of 16bit - most of the di...

Re: Appalling games you enjoy.....
To be honest, i really enjoy Last Battle on the MD. The only thing i really like is the music that plays during the 'conversations' at the end of each stage, so i play through each stage just to hear the music. I am determined to complete this pig of a game though - only been playing it for the last...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 108 Official Feedback
Yeah, quite a good issue. Really enjoyed the 'before videogames feature'. Not to repeat what has been said before, but this issue felt a little like a compilation of left over bits from previous mags (FF / Doom in particular). Its a bit like buying a re-issue CD with a bonus disc with unreleased mat...

Re: Iron Man 3 Full Trailer is out now
Yeah, i reckon this could be pretty good, BUT, the trailer does imply sort of a 'dark turn' to the series, and i have no idea if that is to ape the Batman franchise. I shall be looking forward to this though as i found the previous films (first in particular) pleasantly surprising - i mean, was anyo...

Re: FMV?
looking back on it, FMV was a big folly, esp. on Mega CD. But back in the day, to my mind anyway, it seemed to be 'the future'. Would love a feature on this though. I cant remember its name though, but i loved a Star Trek TNG game on PC where you got to knee Q in the nuts...

It is a Nokia 5210 - protective shell type case, blue/black in colour. I would consider it to be in good nick, though the battery doesnt hold a charge as well as it probably did when new.astaroth wrote:Which model nokia is it please?
