Re: Video game documentaries?

Bought Load "Film 2" yesterday by Andy Remic The first 'Memoirs of a Spectrum Addict' was good, supported this one and bought the digital verison. Looking forward to watching it I just watched the first one, and found it quite enjoyable. Hows the second one? What's on it content wise, and is it as ...

Re: Retro Gaming Spotlight - Space Invaders

Probably still THE iconic game for me, the one that started the passion. Pinball, mechanical games, Pong- all fun- but this was it

Re: Photo's of your retro collection.

I haven't really taken the time to look through this before, this is exactly what I'm going to do after work today, sit down with a coffee and look right through this topic as a quick glance has me stunned- and jealous- at the incredible collections and games rooms. As mine is now one arcade cab and...

Re: Retrogaming Spotlight: Donkey Kong

DK and DKJ just masterclasses in superb retro gaming. And look so simple, but pretty tough challenge for sure. I certainly aren't going to feature on King of Kong sequels but keep going back to beat personal bests!

Looks a great issue. Game boy feature and the 2000AD games is a great idea for a feature...Judge Dredd always better than Robocop!!!!

Re: From the Forum - Issue 197: Shenmue

I loved the concept, but must admit I never played it that much in depth to assess it fairly. It wowed me when a had a Dreamcast, but never seemed to have the time to sit down and get stuck in...much like many modern games! Better suited for kids with plenty of disposable time!

This is intriguing. Sentinel is one of my old favourites, such an absorbing (excuse the pun) game.

Re: From The Forum: 196

Lol the mini craze is going nuts- how small is a mini PCE going to be though?! Great system, any number of great arcade ports could be on it, licensing permitting. R-Type Outrun and Streetfighter II the obvious ones. Would hope to see a few unique PCE titles on it though. I loved Chan & Chan! So man...

Lol the worlds going mini crazy!

But a great machine(s) so depending on titles could be excellent. But the mind boggles at how mini the PCE can get!

Re: Minor or lesser known Arcade Coin-Ops you really liked

I love 80s arcaders probably more than any other gaming, many of these mentioned I'd never heard of! Will have to do some research and give them a go. Not so much obscure, but 'esser well known' games for want of a better term I enjoyed were Jungler , Tutankham , Targ, Uni Wars, Astro Invader/Kamaka...

Re: Zzap! Annual 2020 kickstarter

Yep, you now get the keyring too! I did sign up, and got an earlybird special, which astounded me. Someone must have cancelled and I signed up at the exact right time as there was one sitting there. For good measure I decided to go and get the 2019 Crash annual, seeing I hadn't opted to buy the sec...

Very twilight zone! But pleased you're staying on to share in the upcoming #200!!!!

I do struggle with some small printing, but as most don't I know that's something I have to find a solution for, and there are ways around old fart syndrome eyesight!

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

Yeah in NZ they started at 179.95 local dollars, which I had preordered at- then cancelled. Since then they have dropped down to $99, which is about 50quid equivalent. I would want to spend about 50-70 local, so we will keep an eye on sales and local auctions
