At 10p a go, snap em up regardless, you will get it back tenfold on eBay for the ones you don't want!

Re: Best DS in 2019?

I picked up a DS Lite to play my old GBA games in a cheap way with a decent screen, and didn't look back. It was mega cheap, especially as I bought a salmon/pink colour no one else wanted, but I didn't give a crap! Since then bought a few multicarts both GBA and DS, and it's just one of the best and...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200

While I am waiting for this issue to appear on site, yes, I want to congratulate the team for 200 issues, and thank you all for a consistently great publication still going strong. From the issues to the Bookazine compilations, they always provide an excellent read for this industry we all have a pa...

Re: From The Forum Issue 201

Way cool! Handheld games can cover so much. I won't count Simon although a great game in its own right. As a title for a handheld console- one game that had me hooked was Chips Challenge on Atari Lynx. I had bought a few titles when I bought the Lynx, and this one here was the surprising addiction. ...

Re: History of Video Games - Book Recommendations

There's some great books out now, it used to be famine but now most definately feast! A good start- I'll give these guys here a shameless plug(!)- are some of the bookazines packing great RG articles into various topics and genres- Hardware vol 1 & 2, various books on specific consoles and computers...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 199

Thanks, but I can hardly take the credit for the feature. I only contributed the "Does It Run Doom?" spread, as I suffer from motion sickness while playing Doom - the bulk of the feature was put together by Adam Barnes and Darran. That's interesting, the motion sickness thing. I never struck it pla...

Re: Ebay is flooded with repros. Can anything be done?

But then if the packaging is just some printed card and folded plastic what's the difference? Not defending the cloners, more the absurdity of paying a premium for packaging? You're missing the point. Those that collect want their items as close to mint in box as possible. Hence why demand and valu...

Re: Retro gaming in Tokyo

Fantastic photos, thanks so much. And love the non gaming pics too. Yes, might have to convince the other half we have to get to Japan. We have recently been watching a couple of travel shows of Japan so do not think it would take much to tempt her!!!

Re: Ebay is flooded with repros. Can anything be done?

Is this something Retro Gamer could do an article about? Pressure and all that. I bought a DVD from CEX recently, and on closer inspection, the cover is poor quality so maybe they printed that themselves. That's rather scammy if so. CEX accept reprinted cover items, as long as the item inside is ge...

Yeah we found that last time we were in Welly for a te papa exhibit too... looking around for RG stockists was kind of tricky, although did find a store in the CBD that had a couple of bookazines, although I already had them

Re: Ebay is flooded with repros. Can anything be done?

Yes, I think the best approach is buyer beware, there is little that can be done to stop it now, a combination of fakes looking quite authentic to most buyers, and companies raking in too much money to care. I guess many who want games just to play not collect, won't care if it's a knockoff if it w...
