Re: Mailbag section in RG

I occasionally see myself quoted in the 'from the forum' sections, gives you a wee buzz to see yourself Lol, but yeah, tends to be if you have a contrary or different view to most, as variety makes it more interesting than a whole stack of answers to 'Favourite Mega drive game' for example saying th...

Re: Tracking lateness

Issue#208 arrived today. So a little under two months. Which sounds bad, but in fairness a lot of other international items at the moment are taking the same sorts of times, up to about four months. So I am thinking in context not too bad.

Re: From The Forum Issue 211

I never had the SNES in the day, being a Mega Drive man. But now I have the Mini SNES I will have to pick off that!

Re: Tracking lateness

We are quite spoilt in NZ as it's almost gone back to normality in our country bubble (touch wood), and it's only when you order international again you realise how chaotic things still are. Yes, you are in better shape over there. On July 30th, the entire country of NZ, with a population of about ...

Re: Tracking lateness

Update: Got an email back from Future customer support yesterday that the held issues (206, 207) will be sent out in "the next couple of days". Then, a couple of hours later I got an email from the mailing list stating the same thing more or less: "We are getting in touch to inform you that we have...

Re: Tracking lateness

I am just seeing how long 208 will take, just keeping tabs on it. You get a fair idea of how long things take to arrive when you do a lot of online shopping, and this one is a bit AWOL. I have received a reply from future about my enquiry from the previous week, one week later to the day. In which t...

Re: Is it me or are computers boring these days?

Lol, I'm on the fence about this! Kind of know what you mean, and partly agree. From a visual point of view of the hardware, there is a Vintage elegance to classic computers, especially the home ones, where as a lot of the newer ones are very samey in appearance. I guess I have the same attitude to ...

Re: Tracking lateness

Well I've noticed since covid issues that things are taking way longer to arrive. Bought a couple of issues of Fusion, and they took 3-4 months. I know that is the system because Fusion books is extremely reliable and you can set your watch by them. Bought a single issue of RG off My fave magazines ...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 208 - Back to the 80s

The 80s feature sounds great, but looking forward to the Eternal Darkness feature, as it's quite an overlooked game at times. It's also a good test to see how long things are taking in international post now, one thing recently emerged after four months, ordered before our lockdown. Strange times in...

Re: Kickstarter tracker

I quite like the idea. Particularly in regards to books and the like, Fusion for example are incredibly reliable. I can understand the worry, most notorious is the Vega+, Gamegadget and the ongoing Atari VCS, but as long as buyer beware is emphasised- it is an individual responsibility as to whether...

Re: The games that should be on a GG micro

It was such a massive let down. After the week of hype and excitement, to find it was a GGM, at such a price and such a limited library on each....Sega being Sega again Lol. With so much that could have been done, what a let down.

I love the Hardware handbooks, would probably upgrade if we knew exactly how much new information was added to them.

Re: From The Forum issue 176 - Favourite football game

Can I broaden the term of 'football?' Because my favourite football game in the broad sense would be Jonah Lomu Rugby on PS1. Otherwise, the one I played the most I think was Great Soccer on the Sega Master system...I think it was called Great Soccer! EAs first FIFA game on the Megadrive we also enj...
