Re: Favorite GBA game

Great little system, though I use a DS Lite now to play GBA games.

Advance Wars is still probably my favourite. But plenty of AAAs you could really name any number for a favourite. Also very fond of Doom/Doom2, and arcade compilations like Konamis

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 193

What's that about the book? I thought it was still (slowly) happening. You've got to be kidding! The thieving bass has done a runner with our cash, scarpered into the bush on a kangaroo. Kickstarter have their money so don't give a flying fig about all of us that lost money. I keep saying 'I'm neve...

Re: Streets of Rage 2

Great game. Still give it a go now and again, we used to play it to death when we first had it, awesome multiplayer nights

Re: From The Forum: 194

Burnout 2 I think was the first I played, and in that regard was my favourite. The crash effects looked so cool, it took the Destruction derby and upped it. I do like Paradise as well with the open world style thing going on, but 2 was my first go into the franchise so I remember that one particular...

Re: Mega Drive Mini

Lol when it appeared in my newsfeed on April 1st I thought it was a joke! But I do love the mini consoles, and if this is in line with the quality of the Nintendo ones could be good. Mega drive games have unfortunately been overexposed and bastardised on various poor machines over the years which ma...

Re: The Google Stadia

The more things head this way, the more retro I will get tbh. Not that they will care, they aren't aiming it at me!

Re: Konami Anniversary Collections

These sets look like more like cash ins. I know that's the name of the game of course, but these companies tend to 'Namco Museum' the hell out of things, milking old stuff for as much as they possibly can. Many gamers would prefer originals to emulators etc...but you got to see people right, give th...

Re: Konami Anniversary Collections

A good remastered Silent Hill collection is being cried out for. A 'remastered collection' doesn't mean the second and third games in a rushed out double set. Perhaps SH 1-4, either as a set or individually, remastered with the same love that RE got in REmake for Cube....that is whats wanted!

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

I will get one when it is around £30, as long as I can hack it and put my own selection of games on Perhaps a dumb question... But if you hack it, does the poor emulation persist since it's the same hardware or is literally just bad quality roms (or whatever Sony used)? As I say, could be a thick q...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

It may be simpler than that. Nintendo minis = retro PS1 classic = not retro. Perhaps. It may well be as simple as that...although I do know plenty of people like myself that were at first absolutely excited upon hearing about it, preordering straight away. Then, becoming concerned as the full games...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

Yeah, clearly not the demand for PS1 classic than the Ninty minis, and the overwhelming feedback seems to be poor games lineup and poor emulation of the lineup. And such a shame, considering many were really hyped for it. My only reason to consider is price has plummeted, and could be a fun cheap th...

Re: From the forum: 193

Lol I have no idea!

My favourite game of the series is MK2 though, Megadrive. Just more playable than the original. And the cheats to unlock!

I've only ever button mashed so it didn't matter which character I used!

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

Oh almost worth picking up at that price. Is hacking it to play backups (no really) fairly idiot proof or do I have to jump through hoops aplenty on websites more virus laden than that germ farm monkey from Outbreak to unlock it's potential? Well, tbh I have no idea. I'm not and never have been int...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

And price drops again. It's almost to impulse purchase price now just to tinker around with to load other games onto. 30 odd bucks in US dollars, 89 here in NZ
