Re: US readers -- when do you see the mag in your stores?

I wish we had a Frys out on the East Coast. We have Microcenter, which would be a nice place to sell it, but then so would Gamestop.

Done. Promo code 'CLASSIC' is the way to go -- 13 issues for 50 quid, instead of 80.

Shame the SD card is a weird one, but yeah, it's a nice little unit.

US readers -- when do you see the mag in your stores?

I'm curious as to when other US readers are seeing the mag pop up in B&N or Borders or whatever?

Here in Boston, it seems very random. Last week, I was able to pick up 73 and 72 at the same time. Today, 74 was there, but only two copies...

Re: Official Issue 75 Feedback thread

I really like the recent addition of TinyURL links in features I agree that making them custom would be a good idea, but a much better one would be Imagine buying its own domains and running custom URLs off them (so, something like rg.ws/minidizzy), given that URL shortening services are shutting d...

There could be that, too. But I still don't think they need to be so hard - frustrating. I just want to play them and progress through the game, I don't think they need to make it so that only a few can get the most out of their purchase. Perhaps games need some kind easy/hard option. No, there was a Speccy emulator for the CPC. I think it used the Speccy ROMS.

Was the CPC the only 8-bit that could emulate another 8-bit? I don't recall a CPC emulator for the Speccy...

Where I grew up, nobody had a C64, and everyone had either a CPC or a NES. One guy had a Speccy.

I think this might be the first Mario game I play all the way to the end since Super Mario World.

Sunshine wasn't very good, IMO and Mario 64 was a bit too hard.

I don't know why games are so hard - if a piece is so hard that you see 'Game Over' more than once, it's too hard.

Later models of the CPC6128 had that. It was an Amstrad/McVities promotion.

We shouldn't forget the Amstrad Plus machines too.
